Mary-Kate and Ashley's coffee table book Influence comes out on Tuesday. I don't know when i can buy it in New Zealand but i can't wait.

Sneak peak:

In the book they interviewed people who have inspired them in their journey, like Diane Von Furstenburg, Karl Lagerfeld, Terry Richardson and Lauren Hutton and also did the Proust survey themselves. There's heaps of photographs from their personal collections, as well as a shoot they did with Rankin.

Can't wait to get it x

Say a little prayer for me

I'm feeling blue.
This wasn't supposed to be a blog about anything personal. Usually my posts are emotionally unattached. But tonight, my pain is stronger than my desire for privacy.

I've been hyped!!

I've been invited to LookBook!!! So excited. Except for the fact that i don't own a camera or have many good photos of my outfits. But I've posted one outfit here and it's been hyped 4 times in the last hour (which i guess is sorta similar to kudos on myspace). So i'm kinda excited to be on this site!

Now who wants to buy me a digital camera for Christmas/ my wedding/ just because they love me?

Also, if anyone wants to join, it's invitation only, so let me know and i can hook you up :P haha.

People and clothes on LOOKBOOK

I found one girl that reminds me of Ashley:

And a whole bunch more joy:

Elin Kling

I just found her, she's a model turned blogger/ stylist from Sweden and i love her look!

She dresses the way i would if i had money. But while i'm still a student i think i'll be sticking with a bit more of an op shop look.

These are a few of my favourite things (today)

Photography by Jonathan Leger, where the models have kept their clothes on:

Pictures of Isabelle McNally on The Fashion Spot:

Caroline Hwang drawings:

And how absolutely stunning my girls looked at the UK Elizabeth and James launch:

Today i also got onto my crafty make-my-furniture-french mission and painted my drawers white then sanded them down. They look amazing, i wish i had a digital camera to show off my craftiness but i don't :( Feeling proud though, soon every piece of furniture J and I own will be matching :) :)

Family ties

My cousin is a NZ designer- Chelsea Thorpe, and she's getting more attention lately, it's kinda surreal- a piece about her even ended up in Papermag! These are some of my favourite pieces from her latest ANZFW:

So weird, every now and then i Google her, just to see what comes up, and it's strange to see her on all these different sites.

She's my cousin on my Dad's side and it seems like that whole part of my family can do anything artistic and creative but i lucked out on those genes. Yes I study Media Arts, but unlike everyone else, my art is in the form of press releases, strategic plans and executive reports. Choice.

I have all these ideas floating around in my head but no artistic skills to put them into action.

Creativity without artisticness= frustration.

Little Doe

Little Doe makes one off head pieces and they are beautiful! Erin Wasson has been seen wearing them, but i really wish it was ME who was wearing one of these:

So whimsical and beautiful- i want! Except the $250-400 price range puts it kinda out of my limit but a girl can dream. The pieces are all hand made and designed by Chase Cohl and each piece is unique. It'd be so nice for summer, but i'll be sticking to Diva headbands or making my own, hahaha :)

And a last little thought:

Just because

I've written 1300 words on my assignment and i need a breather

And also cause i though this was cute:

And now i'm singing that song quietly to myself :)

This afternoon i have a makeup trial for the wedding. I've been looking on
The Fashion Spot to try and figure out what i actually want but all i can come up with so far is bright lips, peachy cheeks and long eyelashes. Hard to find pictures of examples for that though!

Je t'aime!

I can't afford beautiful french furniture for our new place, so instead i'm sanding down everything we own and painting it white myself! Kind of excited to get a little crafty though.

Coveting a house full of this:
