Maybe I've been living under a rock but I've only just discovered the joy that is Jane Schouten- a graphic designer, artist and shop owner who has the home of my dreams.
This is the kind of house I am working towards:

I already pin up my necklaces like in the above pic and have begun working on a wall full of different framed art and photography.

I definitely definitely don't have such lovely furniture :( Unfortunately for us the joy of being newly wed and having a small home means we only have one couch and one bean bag in our lounge! Haha.

And my kitchen isn't even close to being this lovely but i do have my own collection of pretty jars and tins and containers, and a perfectly mismatched set of cups and saucers and teapots, so that's a start!

oooh i love the idea of pinning up necklaces! *stolen* lol
ReplyDeleteShe has the house of my dreams too! I can't wait to have my own pad :)

ReplyDeleteit's so light and bright and airy and colourful. i think you can do whatever you want with a room as long as the natural light is good to begin with. this house has fantastic lighting. the use of colour is really great too.
ReplyDeletei want a house like this although maybe not so many white walls. i think walls look great in mint green, pumpkin, duck egg blue, etc, etc...
