The reason behind this weeks blog of the week pick is simple- Melissa Haslam is a talented artist and her art completely captivates me- so of course I love her blog and having a sneak peek into her world and behind the scenes look at her projects.
Do you guys follow any artist blogs? Let me know who so i can go check them out!
Also, as 2009 is drawing to an end I am considering bringing the "blog of the week" feature to an end. What do you think? Should it stay or should it go? I haven't yet come up with an idea of a new weekly feature for 2010 but maybe it's time for a change...

Such lovely artwork! Thank you for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI think that things like blog of the week can only run for so long before you're (at least temporarily) out of fresh material. If you need to take a break from it or scrap it altogether, I'm sure everyone would understand :)
I think whatever you do in 2010 will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe blog of the week feature is really great, but I wouldn't continue doing it if your only posting blogs that'l do, for the sake of it. If that makes sense?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they're is othr lovely art blogs out there, but I like the artwork on this one.. http://jadeklara.blogspot.com/

oh oh! I think it should stay, it's such a great way in which to highlight some of the other loveliness out there, and it's great for us who want a new blog to spice things up a little....
ReplyDeleteand the artwork is gorgeous too!

ReplyDeleteoh wow i've never seen this work before, it's beautiful! thank you for sharing.

that's so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy discovering new blogs through your weekly feature, so for me it would be a shame to see it disappear :)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of magnificent art blogs, I'm a religious follower of My Love For You Is A Stampede Of Horses. It features relatively unknown artists, and I already got so much inspiration from it throughout the months I've followed it.
Another art-blog I adore is Caitlin Shearer's, but I'm sure you're already familiar with her work :)
Gorgeous work! I am an artist who also has a blog, you can visit mine if you like :)
ReplyDeleteI've discovered some amazing blogs through your feature, so if you have more to share please dont stop! xx
ReplyDeleteI think that you can drop the weekly theme posts. At least I (as a blogger) feel that when you have to do something, like blogging on a certain theme that day, it can feel more like a job than a pleasure, if you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteJust keep up the good work and post whatever inspires you! It being a photographer, blog or anything else is free for you to chose! :)
I like blog of the week. but i think photographer or illustrator or handmade find of the week would all be good too. or you could scrap a theme and instead put a featured post in your sidebar?
ReplyDeletethat's truly beautiful! i emailed this to my mother right away, because it was just that lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteas for the blog of the week feature, i am welcome to a new idea (such as movie, song, book or online store of the week) as well. personally, i look forward to your blog of the week posts, but whatever you choose, i guess i'll love, because it's here on your blog! keep on inspiring me,
much love,
Norah x
