Scrap booking

I've always wanted to make a beautiful scrap book and now i'm thinking i should get onto it! I found a blog about collage, Notpaper and the amazing work on there has inspired me to buy a pretty notebook and get going!

Honesty scrap!

I was tagged by Jenna from Oh, Bother to do the Honest Scrap- write ten honest things about myself and then tag 4 other bloggers.

So here we go:

1. I hated cooking but then i got married and realised i couldn't let my husband starve, so i learnt and now i love it.

2. I miss having a cafe that's "my" cafe- the one i go to all the time and the staff know me. But we went out for brunch this morning at a nice place and we're going to try work our way through the menu there so maybe i've found somewhere to call my own!

3. I prefer male actors over female actresses

4. Doing the grocery shopping is probably my favourite part of the week

5. I'm most likely going to Mozambique in August this year and i couldn't be happier about it, but i haven't told my parents yet. We're going to work in orphanages and my heart is so there.

6. I like being a hermit and hiding away at home with my husband over socialising

7. I don't like watching tv, but i LOVE watching tv series on dvd. Boston Legal and Gilmore Girls are two faves.

8. I wish my our pantry was bigger. (it only has two shelves)

9. I have a thing for butterflies

10. I'm learning not to be so impatient anymore.

hello beauties.

what an honor to be a guest blogger on this beautiful lady's site. :)
i just wanted to introduce myself before i make my very first post.
whooh.

and now, let's talk about the last 3 weeks..

Because all of a sudden,

a year and some later..

I’m finally realizing just how much I’ve shifted.

And it makes me want to make

a big list of every pro and every con

and watch the tallies compile

into composite images of us and

the kind of future that

would result from that.

Let’s draw lines on our faces and

line up our lips to form the letters,

because I can’t seem

to make words work without you.

Let’s get some liquor and some caffeine,

watch strangers blow smoke around the porch

and spend the night under the same sheets.

The heater’s broken

but our bodies aren’t.

So I’m one week removed from this,

three weeks into it;

two weeks away from a separation,

and I just keep thinking

that the new year always finds me

making this same choices.

it just wasn't the same without you there.

and it's been too long since you were.

The girl with birds in her hair

One of my best friends lives on the other side of the world, in America, and i miss her every day. We used to run about with disposable cameras, having picnics, going op shopping, watching Elizabethtown, Pretty in Pink and Amelie- capturing every moment on crappy film. Now she's gone and i miss those times and wish i could rewind and appreciate them more. She's coming back soon, but only for awhile, so until then she's my new guest blogger!

French photographer Thierry Bouet is AMAZING!!! He takes photographs of newborns, within their first few hours of life and the results make my eyes well up with tears.









Oh my goodness aren't they the sweetest things.
