One of my good friends (and groomsman to my husband on our wedding day!) takes pictures for New Zealand's version of the Cobrasnake: Neon Sleep and also for his own site- Deers and Bears
Just thought I'd share and show him some love, (he's also the boy in the top picture). Always good to get a bit of kiwi talent out there for the world to see! I love that I have so many friends doing fun stuff with their lives and living creatively.

I love old tins and containers and I'm building up a nice little collection. I usually use an old cigar or tobacco tin as a wallet and my house is filled with lovely floral tins holding my tea, or biscuits or secret notes. I have the worst luck actually finding pretty tins whenever i go op shopping- the ones i do find usually end up having ducks on them (seriously, it's so weird, i always find duck tins) or kittens, which isn't really my taste- but lucky i have a lovely friend who gives me a few treats every now and then.
Do you guys collect anything? I'm not a big collector really but i'm always on the look out for bits and pieces to decorate my home with and i love anything old because it just seems to have so much more character.
The above tins can all be found for sale on etsy here, here and here.

New Zealand label Lonely Hearts opted out of their regular cat walk show at this years fashion week and instead showed a video installation of their 2010 winter collection.
These pictures are stills from the film. Liss posted about other designers doing this as well, over at Daydream Lily. I like this new trend! All these little film clips are giving me heaps of inspiration at the moment.
And in other news, the winner of my owl necklace giveaway is The Little Blog of Happiness for this lovely comment:
Congratulations hun! Also make sure you guys do check out Really Really Design, there's many more great products to be found.

Finnish beautyRosa-Fiona Bettina has a gorgeous blog with amazing pictures documenting her life. I love finding blogs in languages i can't understand and not using google translate to find out what they're saying, but making up the content myself instead.
Check out her lookbook here as well.

I think i kind of forgot about this for the last couple of months maybe? But it's time to bring it back! So here we go:
Watching... Band of Brothers with the hubby... it keeps him happy :) And out of most war programs or movies I've seen, BOB is probably the best
Reading... Relevant Magazine. It's about music, God & progressive culture and the articles are always so interesting. Zooey Deschanel was on the cover this month.
Drinking... tea tea tea. every type- green tea, lemon tea, english breakfast, early grey etc. Can't get through the day without a hot drink.
Eating... healthy for once! Trying to shape up for summer so I'm cutting out sugary treats and getting back into fresh fruit and veges.
P.s make sure you check out my giveaway below, there's still a few days left. I'm really enjoying reading all your answers to my question!
p.p.s just noticed i wrote "picture credit" but then never attached the link and now i can't find it... it's from a blog i found recently. if it's yours let me know so i can credit you! sorry!

Wow wow WOW i can't even express how much i love these pictures! This is Stacie and Geoff celebrating their engagement and if you go here you can see the pictures of their wedding day. What an amazing couple! They have such great style, so vintage and dreamy-- I love it!
I just discovered the Sloan Photography website and there's so much beauty to be found. I only wish the hubby and I thought to get engagement photo's taken-- it would have been great to have something to celebrate that season in our lives. But at least on the actual wedding day every step and smile was recorded.
P.S I have an exciting little giveaway happening on this blog sometime this week so stay tuned :)

As some of you might know, I have another blog over at Fix Up Look Sharp, with a collective of New Zealand creatives- artists, musicians, designers, entertainers etc etc. Anyway, one of my fellow FULS bloggers is a friend who I met during my degree and she's an amazing photographer/ artist/ jewelry designer- check out some of her stuff at her page here. AND check out her new giveaway with Frankie here.
Clare's stuff is amazing so make sure you guys check it out and enter. The pictures above are from a beanie collection she designed, and you can see more of her jewelry on the Neverland Collective website.
