I can't believe it's almost December! I'm starting to feel quite festive. Our Christmas tree is going up today and we just need to get on with our present shopping. This is the first Christmas in years where I haven't had to work on Boxing Day so I'm really looking forward to relaxing and hanging out with the family.

We have been married for one year today. Happiest year of my life! I am blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Here's to the next year and all the years to come!

Blog of the week: I Am a Tree

I thought it was about time I used my "blog of the week" feature to share with you the blog of one of my real life friends Rachel! She's a busy little bunny at the moment so it hasn't been updated a lot recently but I'm sure as summer comes (which is soon here in New Zealand by the way, all you Northern Hemisphere readers) she might have time to share a little bit more.

If your household appliances wrote love songs while you were away on vacation, their cheerful blips and bleeps would pour out the windows, sweep through the neighborhood like candy-coated tidal waves, and you would return home to find crowds of people standing on your lawn, clapping and singing along to the happiest pop melodies imaginable.

All i can say is... I love Owl City.

Maybe I've been living under a rock but I've only just found out about the joy that is Arden Wray's photography (thanks to the Bleubird Vintage blog!)

Arden Wray is a Canadian photographer and I can't actually find a better way of describing her work than what's written about her on her official site, so I'm just going to share a snippet with you from there:

"She is interested by vulnerability, finding beauty in unexpected places, and adventure stories. Arden Wray’s work deals primarily with themes relating to autobiography, feminine identity, and trust."

My best discovery this weekend is Marta's lovely little etsy store. I want one of the little birdy necklaces!

Blog of the week: Posy

This week my Blog of the Week award goes to Posy for having the most adorable home & letting us inside her world with lovely little updates of her home decorating adventures.

Though I don't think my husband would let me have quite such a feminine house (I get away with quite a bit of floral & pastel but definitely not as much as this!) she has definitely given me some new ideas to play around with in my own home.
