Happy New Year!

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Stephanie Crowe.

Happy New Year! Wow it's crazy to think 2009 has been and gone. It has been one of the biggest and best years of my life and I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store!

What are your goals for next year?

For me I just want to be healthy and happy. I've recently started mixed martial arts so I'm hoping the commitment to that will help me live an active lifestyle.

All the best to you guys, hope you all have a wonderful time seeing in the new year and here's to 2010!

Studio Violet

Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Studio Violet is an adorable little store selling a mixture of journals, postcards, stickers, prints and posters with cute and quirky designs. I recently discovered that there's also a Studio Violet blog run by creators Elizabeth Dunker of Fine Little Day and Camilla Engman. They sell so many lovely treasures I'd like to fill my home with!

In other news, my friend has very sweetly written something nice about my blog, if you want to have a look it's over here. Her blog is relatively new so leave her some love!

Looking back on 2009

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

(Estampilla)

2009 has been an amazing year in my life and I thought since it's coming to an end I would take a second to look back on some of the moments I've enjoyed this year. I don't know if this will be interesting for you guys or not, but if you want to play along feel free to comment back with your highlights of 2009.

I've narrowed it down to a top ten:

♥ 2009 was my first year of marriage, so it's been amazing to have our home together and grow together
♥ Traveling to Mozambique with my husband and friends to work in an orphanage
♥ Holidaying in South Africa and seeing where my friends grew up
♥ Leaving my lifeless full time job to do something I'm passionate about
♥ Doing an internship at my church with my husband and close friends
♥ So many fun nights with friends at weddings, barbecues, birthdays and anytime we get together
♥ Graduating my degree in Communications
♥ Having one of my closest friends shift back to my city and only around the corner from me!
♥ Seeing the growth of Here Comes the Sun and finding & learning about so many photographers/ artists etc.
♥ And most recently- starting MMA (mixed martial arts) and beginning to get my fitness back!

Hair inspiration

Saturday, December 19, 2009

I can't believe how beautiful and long this girls hair is! I've been trying to grow my hair for literally YEARS now and seeing pictures of someone with such long locks definitely keeps me motivated not to change my mind and get it cut. Mines getting quite long but I can't wait for it be as strikingly long as this girls. I'm a little jealous!

Happy weekend everyone x

I just stumbled upon the most adorable mobile shop on etsy.

A little visit to etsy almost always cures the lack of inspiration I was talking about in my last post!

Hopefully I'll have some up and coming photographers to share here this week :) Happy Monday!

Blog of the week: Cherry Fields

Sunday, December 13, 2009

The reason behind this weeks blog of the week pick is simple- Melissa Haslam is a talented artist and her art completely captivates me- so of course I love her blog and having a sneak peek into her world and behind the scenes look at her projects.

Do you guys follow any artist blogs? Let me know who so i can go check them out!

Also, as 2009 is drawing to an end I am considering bringing the "blog of the week" feature to an end. What do you think? Should it stay or should it go? I haven't yet come up with an idea of a new weekly feature for 2010 but maybe it's time for a change...
