(another amazing swedish photographer)
Todays question is: If you could do anything you wanted, what would you do?
So if money was no issue, what would you do with your life?
I would enlist the help of a few of my very talented friends and make a zine or a photography inspiration book, I'd return to Africa with my husband and travel throughout Europe and Asia.
I love thinking about things like this because I really believe you can make it happen. There's so much I want to do with my life and I don't want to let logic or reason stop me from living my dreams.

I'd take a year off and travel to Australia to visit my Afifleur there. Upon my return, I'd start studying Fine Arts in Brussels and earn money as a children's book illustrator (and preferably write them, too).
ReplyDeleteHmm, this was fun to do. No such thing as dreaming to escape the mundane reality of everyday life!
Olof is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would move to NYC and pursue a creative education (photography or creative writing for example) and then work in a small, but very creative, business where I could have a great view from my desk.
ReplyDeleteI would take vacations in India and Tokyo and have a beautiful apartment high up in some building with lots of natural light and travel memories on the walls.
And I would travel and travel and travel and don't spend time looking for sights but small and unique bookshops instead. And then I would find a small cute cafe and read and read and read.
And when I'm tired of NYC I would move to another big city like London or Tokyo or Paris or Singapore. And of course my boyfriend would move with me because he had the same dreams and wishes as me.
Wouldn't it be perfect? Sigh.
I would definitely open my own art gallery/vintage shop, travel around with my beau and his band and would love to move somewhere on the Mediterranean and submerge myself in lots of languages. I think about this all the time. I am currently becoming and art teacher so I can make enough money to do at least one of these things, eventually. I would live as a vagabond if I could!
ReplyDeletemove to japan for 1 year. then after that, move to korea for 6 months. thereafter: denmark, france, and canada.
ReplyDeletei hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
I would make him love me. Always. Or until I stop loving him.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, this is easy. I would move to Australia with my husband and little girl in a heart beat, to be near my sister in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I would open our own shop/florist selling beautiful treasures and homewares. And I would make the time to write the novel I have been planning for a long time.
We would spend lots of time on the beach and outdoors enjoying the sunshine and I would teach my daughter to surf and love the water as much as I do. Hopefully all of this is actually possible and will be a case of when not if. I really want to make it all happen. Great to read everyone's inspiring answers!
If I could do anything I wanted, I'd free the 27 Million slaves around the world and lock up their oppressors. If money were no issue I'd travel to help with therapy for those who come ouf of sexual slavery since most are between the ages of 5-19 and have a hard time getting out.
ReplyDeleteor was this poll more fashion oriented for what I could do??
@ Justice Pirate
ReplyDeleteNo of course it wasn't fashion oriented, people can answer in any way they want! My answer most certainly had no relation to fashion. And my desire to return to Africa is because my husband and I worked there last year in an orphanage to help the children with no parents and we helped widows and people with disabilities and we want to go back and help more and do as much as we can.
If i could do anything, I think I would want to become a permanent gypsy. Not so much in the stereotypical sense, but I would just want to travel and meet every inch of this beautiful world. Africa, Asia, Europe, Spend some time living in New York City and while I was wandering, take photos of everyone I met. If I could document every encounter with a photo, oh, it would be delightful.
ReplyDeleteI feel all inspired now.
all i wanna do is kiss the boy i like.
ReplyDeleteif only things were that easy.
I would travel and never stop. I'd go to every country in the world seeing the sights and meeting the people, then when I saw everything I'd do it all over again. My family used to travel all the time but now that we don't have the time I miss it desperately. That's what I'd really love to do with my life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for responding to me. I thinkt hat is seriously a big loving thing to be able to help others especially those who feel they aren't loved or hope that one day someone will love them. I have a heart for orphanages and we really want to adopt from Vietnam or India or Ghana when financially I am able to. I'd love to hear more about your time in Africa!
ReplyDeleteI think about this every night when I drive by the MegaMillions billboard!
ReplyDeleteI would quit my day job, open a charming vintage (clothing and home dec) shop, return to college (AGAIN!) for photography, buy a 3-story brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn (with a yard and driveway and MAYBE, be still my heart, a GARAGE) and turn the third floor into photo studio. I would find some way to use photography to help those in need...and I would do some long-awaited traveling.
sigh.
i'd travel the world and whatever happens i'll take it from there . i'm not sure where i would go or what i would do but that's the whole fun in it ; all i'd know is i'd find myself on the way and that i'm about to embark on a beautiful , life-altering journey .
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, exchange links??
ReplyDeleteI would go to africa and the middle east with some other likeminded people and help fight poverty and try to bring peace to th world.
ReplyDeletePearl xo
I would travel. Paris first. I would go to school to learn french, I would take sewing classes, fashion sketching courses, I would learn how to create fabric and rehopulster. I would start desiging clothing and furniture.
ReplyDeleteI would buy myself an camera and jump across the world to Europe, Canada and Israel, do some snowboarding, walk the Via Dolorosa, go see the Incorruptables, look at the pure miracles in the Systine chapel, document everything I see and experience.
ReplyDeleteThen I would come home, open my own home studio, have my own space to mishmash everything creative together. This could one day be in arts, design, photography, fashion design.... I don't know. I guess there's still plenty of time to pursue anything I want to :)
How inspiring Amanda!
the picture of the girl's hair makes me want to grow mine out....
ReplyDeletehappy belated valentine's day!
i'm gonna quit my current job, take photography course, open a cool art shop with my sister, create my own photography magazine, meet mr.right who hopefully has the same interests as me in photography, art, design, music and food, travel and explore the world with him and try the best traditional food of every single country we go! is that too much to ask? :D
ReplyDeletetravel the world in a hot air balloon :)
ReplyDeleteI would pack all my stuff and runaway to Africa. I need the sun, heat, energy and dry bleeze there.
ReplyDeleteSummer is always more like my time and the spirit of life seems to come closer in summer, isn't it?
oh, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI would buy a spacious farmhouse with a large barn. I would buy the horse I've been working with, so that I could work with her every day. With that much time with her, she'd be a perfect horse in no time. I'd get a couple more horses and open a little craft/handmade goods shop. I'd take long trail rides and photograph the world from horseback.
ReplyDeletethis is so so great :) i love this question because the answer is so unique to everyone. i suggest making a bucket list! if you want you can see mine here: http://www.ifyouneverdid.com/2010/02/make-bucket-list.html
ReplyDeleteI would probably travel around the world for a decade or two and see everything there is to see. Then I'd write a book about it and study all kinds of different stuff, like Literature, Fashion Design, Media and Entertainment and read tons of books and thrift.
ReplyDeleteI would travel the world and meet people and help people wherever possible. I would learn to dance. I would learn to cook. I would gain more confidence and I would fall in love.
ReplyDeleteBuy a house in somewhat isolation near the ocean, but close enough to a large city when I feel like being social.
ReplyDeleteReally, just the buying a house part is all I ever want, ever!
i love that train of thought so much. :)
ReplyDeleteAMAZING PICTURES!

It´s so wonderful and inspiring to read all these thoughts! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would have a cute little summer house in Sweden, big enough to invite all my friends. It had a wonderful garden full of flowers and a lake would be nearby. I could sit in the garden and read and read and draw and draw. hmmmmm....
I would by a big castle and live there with my kids and maybe a husband. And then I would work as an actress or a director and, well, I would be happy. I would feel like every day was worth living.
ReplyDeleteopen my own shop!!!
ReplyDeletebut you can do anything you want.
ReplyDeletethe only limits are the ones you create
