To be honest I don't know much about photography, the only camera's I own are a polaroid with no film and a rustic old Brownie that doesn't work. So i have no idea about composition and technique and the effort that goes into taking a good picture. I don't even know what makes a technically good picture and I don't pretend to. All I know is what I like and the kinds of things that instantly stand out to me and appeal to my eye. So sorry I can't present pictures to you with the appropriate jargon, but all I can say is- I think these pictures are beautiful and I wish I took them myself! Check out Maggie Lochtenberg's flickr for more.

fantastic photos! I adore the second! ;)

ReplyDeleteI am in New Zealand :) First to see the sun!
Maybe it's a silly thing to say, but I think that the most important thing when you take a picture, is to make the world as alive as you see it.
ReplyDeleteOf course you have to settle your camera and all the stuff, but if you really try to fulfill that goal, it seems to me that your photographies can't be that bad !
So just go ahead and try! C:
Des bisous :)
LOVELIEST photos I've seen in a while! I ♥ that 2nd one.

oh and could you somehow tell your friend melissa (melissa-ranger.blogspot.com "From me to you") that her comments aren't working?
ReplyDeleteI read every single one of her posts but it won't let you comment! and i don't know how to tell her!
thanks.

"Of course you have to set* "
ReplyDeleteSorry, for mistakes, do not talk (or in this case write) english fluently...
Wonderful linkage, thanks!

Well i agree with the idea there's no need to see a technically perfect photo to like it... it has to have something, be touching... and so are this
ReplyDeletei love the ripped, layered quality of the first photo!
ReplyDeletei don't know much about photography either, but i think it's nice to explore it from a novice's point of view too (:
I love the honesty and the logic.
ReplyDeleteI've only just gotten into photography myself when I bought my DSLR and I can tell you there is so much to learn! I feel like I'm drowning a bit.

I think those photos are beautiful as well and I´m glad you shared it!
ReplyDeleteThese are certainly gorgeous. I think that the lovely thing about photography is that you can learn the technical stuff without too much hassle (the ins and outs of a quality picture) but the love of photography comes from breaking all of the rules. Beauty is relative to each person and this is true even in photography. Art is such a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeletethese are really beautiful
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing them <3
Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I 100% love those. Wonderful! thanks for sharing. especially the bottom right one, reminds me of Pushing Daisies, such a good tv show!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics :) I am a huge fan of people's photography too, determined to own a dslr one day and get into it properly :)

ReplyDeleteI love them! I wonder why you dont start photographing if you like it this much? When you pick up such photo's, I think you have feeling for it.
ReplyDeleteI just started photography. Just take a look: myvisualillusions.blogspot.com

These photos make you feel all warm and nice inside. ♥ (:
ReplyDeletehahah, true that. we know it's pretty, and that's enough, right? <3
ReplyDeleteI love your taste when it comes to pictures, it catches my eye as way. There's something melancholic about them and yet peaceful. In French, I'd use the word "désuet" :)
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures too and I think thats all that matters really. I mean I do go to art school and there like don't ever say 'It's good, I like it' But sometimes that just feels like all I need to say.
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful indeed! Most of the times I can't explain why I love a certain photo either. Sometimes, it just... is.
ReplyDeleteHello flower!

oh they are just mesmerizing. i love the soft tones that film produces... the graininess and mesh of hues. You should definitely give photography a try! I don't think it's about knowing all of the technical side.. I don't know everything either. I think it's more about experimenting and finding your own way of doing things. believe in yourself and show us what you can do :)
