I see red, I see red, I see red!
Today I am going to let you in on a little secret... I'm 23 years old and going grey! Not something I am particularly proud of or stoked on. I don't have a full head of grey or anything like that- just many flecks throughout my fringe and the underneaths :( So as you can imagine I colour my hair all the time to keep this fact as well hidden as possible (but i guess the secret is out now) so when I look at these pictures all I can think is- I need to colour my hair red!!
Although I don't know if I could pull it off but wow does she look striking. What do you guys think? Dark brown hair is getting a little boring. I've never ever considered red until I saw these pictures but they really have won me over.
as a (fake)redhead myself i say go for it! you dont have to go full on bright red, there are 100s of shades of auburn to choose from xx

ReplyDeletemy hair ain't this blonde, i have highlights done, but once i dared to wear red hair and I really loved it! the problem was that the color wouldn't last much because my hair was too blonde and it didn't let the color to last much,,, but i really loved the result. in fact it wasn't red, it was more orange, just as the ones you have shared.. mayeb you should give it a gor and if you don't like it go back to brown again :)

oh my god, i know how you feel! my hair has a lot of grey underneath. it started when i was a teenager (i am 24 this year).

ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try brown-red first! It looks somehow between red and mium/light brown! I'm saying that because my hair is naturally dark brown and I didn't want to look weird because I didn't know if it would suit my skin so I tried something with a little brown in it and it looks great!!

ReplyDeleteI've never dyed my hair before. NEVER. I've always had strawberry blonde hair, but recently, I've been wishing so badly that my hair was a pretty copper. I wanted to dye it but I was afraid that i would never get this unique natural color back if I started dying it. Well, I opted for a new hairstyle instead, which forced me to part my hair differently and lo' and behold, my hair is red underneath the blonde! Problem solved!

ReplyDeleteotherwise, i totally understand your desire to color your hair. every once and a while i just have to do something drastic to my body... like get tattooed, or get dreads, or bangs, or dye my hair hot pink or teal. i just can't stay the same so i say go for it!

or you can dye your hair with some henna, it gives great effects! :p
I'm not going to lie, you have to be able to handle the attention you get with red hair. It's not for the faint of heart that's for sure. I've been a redhead since birth and I love it, but I've grown up with it so I'm use to all the questions that can be asked and the names I am called.

I'm 23 with grey hairs, too. If I'm not dying over them, I pluck them out weekly! I went auburn to cover them. :)
