At the moment I have so many lomography and instax pictures floating around my house and I'm trying to figure out the best way to display them all. There's no way I'm hiding them away in an album, but it's also not working for me to have them just sitting in piles everywhere as they currently are (apart from the few that have made it onto the fridge).
So what do you do with your film pictures? So far my best ideas are a heart above the bed with the instax pics and strings of lomo shots in another room. Any other suggestions are welcome :) It will be my weekend project!

I like placing my photos in old frames, or frames I've made myself, and hanging them up on the wall. It ads a nice vintage touch to any room of the house ;)

Ooh I love the photos in the shape of a heart. Cute!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem! I would like to use old frames, but if I want to frame all my pictures, it'll be so expensive... I have to think about this some more! I do like the instants put up as a heart!
ReplyDeletethat's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to do the clothesline photo thing, but instead put them in box frames that are usually displayed in my bathroom so people have something to look at on the wall while going poop! haha.
I haven't displayed any of my film photos properly yet! I'm so terrible at getting round to it.
ReplyDeletethe heart is so cute :) I can't quite decide what to do with ourselves myself – we used to have them all on a wire heart (meant for storing xmas cards) but we took that down and they need a new home now.
ReplyDelete(I used to put them round mirrors when at uni!)
I'm afraid I have the same problem :( I will follow this post to see if something comes up with a good idea ;D the heart is cute though!
ReplyDeleteI shall be keeping an eye on this one because I am desperate for new ideas for film photos
ReplyDeleteMost of them are in the frames but this ideea is also great!

ReplyDeleteI love the first pic! Definitely have to keep that idea in mind :)
ReplyDeleteI display my film photos in frames of all sizes around my room, some are on photo canvases holders and some are on paperweights (the ones with clips to hold the photo upright).
ive been using lomo photoclips.

means you dont have to blutac them all and they end up perfectly spaced! you can also take them all down in one go and put them somewhere else!

i just discovered a bunch of old prints and am having this problem as well! i am a fan of using vintage frames as well as simple grids can also be very effective.
ReplyDeleteI have all my film stuck next to each other on a wall. The whole wall is covered and its like my photoalbum spread out!
ReplyDeleteon the fridge & on corkboards :) it's always great to see a film photo on display.
ReplyDeleteI have two long pieces of fabric hanging from rods aboe my bed and I just pin my photos to them :)
ReplyDeleteI just took my heart of photos down to replace it with a bunch of photos in frames. i have a couple of strings of them around too xx
ReplyDeletei have always wanted to create a polaroid heart! but i don't have enough polaroids :(
ReplyDeletei can't wait to see what you come up with!
At my old apartment I had a whole wall in the hall way dedicated to photos and postcards. it looked really good and was a nice changed from hiding hem away in a photo album.

I've framed Polaroid photos and 35mm film photos. I've also taken small 3M hooks, lined them up in a row, taken bulldog clips and then clipped photos and hung them on the hooks. Simple and utilitarian. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love the strings idea! that's just so cute!

I love both those ideas, I have my pictures pinned up on a pinup board with bits of everything I have to do! I would also suggest a collage of pictures in a frame, like others have suggested :D
ReplyDeleteThis post make me want to get my own film camera. I love looking at those pics. <3
ReplyDeleteI've got a constant line of intax-mini polariods running around all four walls of my room. Well, it's not finished yet, but it's getting there. :)
ReplyDeleteI did a post about what I decided to do with all my printed photos. Had SO many all over my house. It worked perfectly!
