Tis the Season

Ok I've been trying to hold off posting about Christmas until December but these little beauties have made me cave. The Thomas Paul shop at Velocity Design has got me feeling all festive and is also a great reminder for me that Christmas decorations don't need to be tacky or shiny and strictly green and red. I've been planning on making my own decorations this year so these have given me some great ideas.

Ah I love this time of year and all my little family traditions that go with it. My favourite one is our yearly visit to Harrowfield Drive the week before Christmas. Harrowfield Drive is a place in my city that goes all out with Christmas decorations (think real donkeys on your front lawn and a choir hired to sing for the night, along with every house having the most beautiful display of lights) and we always go buy Christmas Starbucks and walk along the drive soaking up the atmosphere and looking at all the pretty displays.

What are your favourite Christmas traditions? Join in my festiveness with me and share a story :)

  6. I completely agree. I've spent so much time online searching for decoration inspiration. I hate ugly and tacky things. Unless their nana-ish. Thanks for sharing these little beauties.

  7. we have a family heirloom santa who sits on the mantlepiece about 12cm tall, and the legend is that every year he swaps the leg he is standing on...(except every year we kinda forget which leg he stood on in the first place...) im going to make my decorations too, first time having christmas at my place! cant wait to see yours xo

  8. My favourite family Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve. We usually go driving around my town and looking at the wonderful lights people put up around their houses. It's magical.

  9. There's a house close to mine that goes absolutely all out with their Christmas lights and we always go to have a peek at what they've done.

Although I would say putting up the tree together as a family while blasting Christmas Carols really loudly is our main Christmas tradition.
