In keeping with my "I love posting about NZ things" theme of the moment (haha!) I wanted to show you guys these great pictures from the new issue of No Magazine, a great New Zealand publication. They were taken by the cobrasnake. I want the shoes for myself please!

This is what I call a "non-thinker post"- nothing but a few pretty pictures to brighten your day. As I mentioned before my friends have opened a new store in Hamilton and I helped them set up (until 3 oclock in the morning!) and work in it, so I am currently surviving on very little sleep and a whole lot of coffee! So a non thinking post of pretty pictures will have to do for today. Enjoy :)

RPM New Zealand

Like I said the other day, one of my favourite things to blog about is creative New Zealanders. So let me introduce to you NZ label RPM:

RPM was founded in 1994 and has since become a much-loved surf, skate, snow and casual wear brand in our country. The current collection features tees, jumpers and hoodies with wolves on them which I LOVE.

Here's me sporting my new RPM jersey! Haha :) Big ups to the RPM crew for being such amazing, creative, talented and generous kiwi's.

2nd Blog Birthday

On this day 2 years ago, my little blog was created! It's crazy to think that something I started out just for myself has grown so much and that other people are actually interested in what I put on here.

So I just want to say a wee thank you to everyone that follows, comments and encourages me to keep going. I hope that when you visit my blog you feel inspired to dream and create. Also a big big thank you to all the wonderful talents I share on here- all the photographers, designers, artists and decoraters- thank you, thank you, thank you.

Happy 2nd blog birthday to me :)

It's the weekend! And I couldn't be happier about it. I have today and tomorrow to relax and get errands out of the way before my 12 days in a row stint at work starts. (I'm not complaining, I'm actually quite excited!). But while I have this precious down time I'm going to make the most of it- here's to relaxing on the couch with a cup of tea and the husband.

Gran's Loose Change

Ahh one of my favourite things as a blogger is when I get the opportunity to blog about other New Zealanders who are living creatively- whether they're designers, photographers, artists etc etc. So today I am excited to share with you guys the new lookbook for Gran's Loose Change.

Gran's Loose Change is a New Zealand store with a mix of second hand, vintage and unique designer pieces of clothing, accessories, furniture and jewellery. Check them out at their online shop, facebook page and blog. All I can say is, I love it!

Baby Bird

I've been loving following the Baby Bird series on the Bleubird Vintage blog for the last few months. I know you probably all know about it already but I just had to give it a shout out of my own because a.) oh my goodness how CUTE does she look pregnant?! and b.) it's a beautiful idea and I want to do it when I'm about to become a mama bear one day.

Love them or hate them, Mary-Kate and Ashley will always have a special place in my heart and i LOVE them both in these newly released pictures from when they were in Japan a few months ago. Such babes!

Hope everyones weekend is going well. Yesterday I made the tea cup candles I've been talking about and I made a blackboard too! Hopefully I can share some pictures this week.

Today is the perfect day for an op shopping mission with the girls while our husbands are off playing paintball. After op shopping we're going to make the tea cup candles I mentioned a few days ago. Sounds like a good Saturday to me! Happy weekend x

Make your own candles in teacups

Lately I've found so many tea cups in my op shopping adventures and I've built up quite the mis-matched collection and been wondering what to do them all. I searched for how to make tea cup candles and found a step by step tutorial in the archives of Design Sponge, so I think that's going to be my project this weekend. Make sure you go check it out, it's such a cheap and easy way to add a little something different to your home.

Bird and Banner make hand printed sayings on vintage hankerchiefs. Each card has a stitched to/from tag and is wrapped around a care card with vintage string. An envelope is supplied for you to send off to a special someone. So sweet!
