• My Fuji Instax has arrived and is in action, I'll be sure to share some pictures very soon. I somehow accidently ended up with Mickey Mouse & friends pictures on the frame, so you'll just have to bare with me until I finish this film! Haha. 
• I am partnering with an AMAZING brand that you all know and love to bring you guys a competition that I'm extremely excited about very very soon. I'll have more info for you guys asap but get excited cause it's going to be awesome.
• And also I'm off to Wellington next weekend with the husband and Ilana and her husband which means- incredible shopping, cafes, galleries and lots and lots of pictures to be taken and shared! 

Talented Kiwi: Garth Badger

As you guys know one of my favourite things to showcase on here is kiwi talent and New Zealand photographer Garth Badger is no exception. Garth is based in Auckland and specialises in fashion photography and also shoots advertising, musicians, and portraits, both as stills and video. I love the beautiful use of light in these pictures! Lonely Hearts

As I mentioned last week I had the opportunity to visit the studio of a New Zealand designer and I jumped at the chance for a behind the scenes nosey. So the husband and I went to Auckland, picked up Isaac along the way and ventured to the North Shore for a visit to the Lonely Hearts studio.

When we arrived they had lunch for us and we sat down and met the team and looked at some pictures from the Winter 2011 lookbook for their "Little Bandits" collection, and then I had a bit of a play with the clothes and tried on some different outfits.

She was a rebel, a true bohemian. She didn’t give a damn about what was in-in fashion or anything else. She lived the way she wanted, with money and without.

All in all it was incredible day- so lovely to meet such a talented bunch of people who are so passionate about what they're doing. And just because I love Lonely Hearts and I love seeing kiwi's live their dream, I also quickly want to show you a couple of my favourite looks from their Little Bandits lookbook:

date day in Ponsonby

While in Auckland last week the husband and I took some time out for a wander through Ponsonby and an afternoon date at one of my favourite Auckland cafes, One 2 One. The weather here has been so amazing lately- crystal clear skies and warm sunshine, so it's been nice to enjoy more time outdoors and swap coffee and hot chocolates for juice and iced tea.

Blue Valentine

If you haven't already seen the preview for Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams' new film Blue Valentine then check it out above. The film documents their characters' marriage and evolution over a few years and cuts between different time periods. I'm so excited to see this as I've always loved both of them but sadly for kiwis it's not expected to be released until sometime in 2011.

What movies are you guys excited to see? My latest I saw was The Town which I thought was pretty good!

Today I'm off to visit the studio of a New Zealand fashion label with the husband and Isaac from Isaac Likes. I should have some more pictures and info to share with you guys soon :)

Also while I have your attention, how exciting is the new Frankie "mook" SPACES. Ahh I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy- that's gone straight to the top of my Christmas wishlist (hint hint to my husband).

Daydream Lily for Element sneak peak

Well my dears I am very excited to be able to bring you this exclusive sneak peak of a project our beloved Daydream Lily has been working on this year. 

The folks over at Element Eden have collaborated with Liss to bring you a Daydream Lily collection of whimsical clothing, accessories and soft furnishings and above are some of the pictures from the lookbook (shot at the home of artist Courtney Brims)

The collection is due to hit stores in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled but I am also happy to say that I will also be hosting an exclusive giveaway so check back here for that soon.

Gary Pepper Vintage

As I've hinted at recently, I've been involved in a project which took me on a trip to Australia. During that trip I was lucky enough to get to spend time wining and dining with Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage. Nicole is one of the most talented, beautiful and creative people I have ever met in my life and I am so glad to have met her!

If you don't know about Nicole already, she runs an extremely successful online vintage store (keep your eye out here for new listings) and she's only 21!

I am so grateful to blogging that it has given me the opportunity to meet such talented and inspiring people like Nicole. It's so awesome to see people living their dream and it motivates me to chase my goals for my own life.

My first Diana pics

One sunny afternoon a few weeks ago the husband and I had a date at the park complete with hot chocolates and our first play with the Diana mini, and these pictures are the result. We had fun shooting from the hip, snapping away at any point of the wind-on, and not worrying about framing up the perfect shot. 

What do you think? This has me so excited to get my next film developed!
