Nothing like a few inspirational pictures to cheer up a busy afternooon. How cute is the cat in the bike basket, ahhh I love it! Anyway that's all I'm really dropping by here for, oh and to say I have something exciting to share with you all tomorrow! Can't wait xx

Oh oh and also hopefully the stickers for my lomography competition should be beginning to arrive now, hopefully next week I can start sharing some of my favourite entries.

It's lookbook season!

I know I've been on a bit of a lookbook sharing frenzy recently but I just had to share one more- the newly released lookbook for Grans Loose Change summer collection just because it's two of my favourite things combined- talented kiwi's and vintage clothing. Make sure you head to the website to check out more goodies.

Also in other news, the Cornetto ad is officially on TV in New Zealand now (and soon to be on TV in Australia too). I'll admit I stayed home Sunday night to catch the first glimpse of it and it was kinda strange seeing myself but something I am definitely happy to get used to haha :) I'll be able to share an extended version and some behind the scenes looks asap!

Happy Anniversary

Today I have been married for two years to my best friend and I can truly say it's been the best two years of my life. We've had so many adventures together whether they've been overseas or at home, it's just been great to do life together.

I won't bore you with too much mushiness but I just wanted to say that I am so happy and so blessed to have found my puzzle piece. I look forward to more amazing adventures together in the future!

How do you display your film photos?

(one. two)

At the moment I have so many lomography and instax pictures floating around my house and I'm trying to figure out the best way to display them all. There's no way I'm hiding them away in an album, but it's also not working for me to have them just sitting in piles everywhere as they currently are (apart from the few that have made it onto the fridge).

So what do you do with your film pictures? So far my best ideas are a heart above the bed with the instax pics and strings of lomo shots in another room. Any other suggestions are welcome :) It will be my weekend project!

♥ A visit from American photographers/ bloggers Andrew + Carissa (pictured above) including a photo shoot for the husband and I
♥ The arrival of Starbucks Christmas drinks- Gingerbread Latte is a fave

Cornetto official pictures released

The Streets Cornetto facebook page has just released the official pictures from our shoot in October (taken by Shelby Craig) and I wanted to share a few. To see the full set click here.
Johnny Rock and the Limits: L-R Will Jones, Alastair Gurney, Andreas Wenzel and John-Luis Moretti
Nicole Warne from Gary Pepper Vintage
Mark Ipaviz from Matinee Idol
Adrian Fernand from I Do Believe I Came With a Hat (how cute is the dog!!)
Lorraine from Not Quite Nigella
Isaac from Isaac Likes

I can't wait for the campaign to fully launch because there are some incredible giveaways instore for you guys (can you say Fuji Instax and Lomo LC + A?!) but not long to go now- the commercial will be screening in New Zealand from this Sunday and in Australia from the following weekend.

Tis the Season

Ok I've been trying to hold off posting about Christmas until December but these little beauties have made me cave. The Thomas Paul shop at Velocity Design has got me feeling all festive and is also a great reminder for me that Christmas decorations don't need to be tacky or shiny and strictly green and red. I've been planning on making my own decorations this year so these have given me some great ideas.

Ah I love this time of year and all my little family traditions that go with it. My favourite one is our yearly visit to Harrowfield Drive the week before Christmas. Harrowfield Drive is a place in my city that goes all out with Christmas decorations (think real donkeys on your front lawn and a choir hired to sing for the night, along with every house having the most beautiful display of lights) and we always go buy Christmas Starbucks and walk along the drive soaking up the atmosphere and looking at all the pretty displays.

What are your favourite Christmas traditions? Join in my festiveness with me and share a story :)

New Split Pea Vintage lookbook

I've been loving the new Split Pea Vintage lookbook so much I couldn't decide what pictures to share. Everything from the styling to the decor to the dreamy tones is perfect. Lookbooks inspire me in a way that runway shows never have and probably never will, does anyone else agree?

Another pretty lookbook of recent is the one from Mink Pink, which I blogged about here in case you missed it.

It's an animal themed weekend

To go along with yesterdays Dreamcats glory, I want to share a few of my other favourite animal themed goodies I've been loving on the internet recently:
Meow mitts from Tiny Owl's Magic Attic
Dreamcats 2011 calendar in the Fieldguided shop
Mini Deer plaques from Nice
Vintage cat ornaments from Caitlin Holcomb
Birdcage cushion from Yolki Home Decor

When I stop and really look at all the pictures I've chosen for this post, I realise how much of a nana I've truly become. Who's with me on the grandma front? My poor kiddies one day will think our house is so daggy and strange but I hope they grow to appreciate it eventually.

Dreamcats, only the best tumblr in the world. I know you've all seen it before but I thought what better way to celebrate the weekend than a post full of my favourite kitty pictures. Click through to tumblr for picture credits. I want a cat of my own so bad right now but can't get one just yet so enjoying pictures like these make it not so bad. What pets do you guys have? Go on, make me jealous!

Food for thought

No flickr faves Friday this week, just some food for thought. Hope it leaves you feeling inspired!

P.S any other How I Met Your Mother fans out there? Just started watching it on dvd and up to season 2. The husband and I are definitely reminiscent of Marshall and Lily haha xx

Mink Pink Summer 10/11

Mink Pink Summer Campaign
Photography - Life Without Andy
Model - Mariana @ Chic
Stylist - Jodie Mckenzie
Stylist Assist - Annabel Wendt

Images from the Mink Pink summer campaign have just been released and they do not disappoint! I am particularly excited about the presence of patterned floor length skirts and will be saving my pennies to get myself some this summer. Also lovely to see blogger Annabel Wendt was involved in the styling for this pretty shoot- she did such a good job!
