Ziggy Stardust only came into my life a week ago today but already my MacBook photobooth is full of pictures of him and I. I appologise if the little guy temporarily has a take over of my blog but I can't help it- I'm just really happy!
Anyway today I wanted to share 20 things I want to achieve in 2011 and if you guys want to play along and share a list of your goals as well, just leave me a link so I can come see!

♥Find a new series to follow on DVD (I've been at a loss since finishing the Wire) (Worked my way through all of Gossip Girl)

♥See my friends who live overseas again (you know who you are)
♥Buy another film camera- possibly a Holga (Bought the Holga 135BC and won a Superheadz!)
♥ Holiday in Queenstown with the husband and our friends
♥Go op shopping more often
♥ Buy the White Album (the only Beatles album I'm yet to own)
♥ Learn how to cook Thai food from scratch
♥ Write letters & send packages more often
♥Have a photo shoot at my house
♥ Grow my own tomatoes
♥ Get back into swimming laps regularly
♥Have a blog giveaway at least once a month
♥Adopt another kitten so Ziggy can have a friend
♥Get business cards printed
♥Attend New Zealand fashion week
Also what do you guys think of my new header? Thought I would kick off the new year with a new and fresh design. A big big thank you to my wonderful friend Dane from Tornadoes and Tigers for creating it for me.

I am in the same boat for so many of these things it's silly! I am sure Ziggy would love a sibling, we have twin sister cats who we have had since they were kittens and they love each other, I am so glad we have two.

Love that you named your cat Ziggy Stardust! My brother had a cat called Morrisey, and if/when I get a pet I'm thinking of carrying on the pet-named-after-a-singer tradition haha.

ReplyDeletei've probably mentioned it somewhere but.. i'm pretty bad at new year resolutions so i'd rather not make any list and just do it as i go and do a retrospective at the end of the year, works better for me and makes me feel good hahahahah
for book i'd def recommend 'the time traveller's wife' by audrey niffeneger if you haven't already read it. by far my most favourite book!

ReplyDeleteI've just spend two days watching 1995 bbc's mini-series of Pride and Prejudice. If you haven't seen it, it's definitely perfect for a cozy afternoon! It's only 6 chapters, but it does make for a good in-between series! ;) X

ReplyDeleteI came across that book list the other day and definitely want to see what all I can read off their although I'm not sure I'd be able to do it all in one year.
I never mind cameos from precious kittens on blogs. I haven't admitted it to many people but I am such a cat person. Your goals are so great! I don't have quite as many, but I'm graduating high school this year. Might as well keep everything manageable!

ReplyDeleteOooh, If you want a show to watch, I highly recommend Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. It's only a three part mini series (with season 2 coming out this year), but it is really good!

ReplyDeleteYou really should consider changing your "buy a kitten" to "adopt a kitten"
ReplyDeleteWhen you support a shelter, they are able to rescue even more animals, and prevent the awful over population problems.
If you adopt a kitten from a shelter, not only are you giving that animal a loving home, you're opening up the opportunity for the space that animal was taking up to be given to another animal in need and possible save other kitties from being put to sleep due to overcrowding.
