We've had a long, hot summer here in New Zealand but it's come to the time of year where my thoughts have turned to warm winter layers, hot soup, snuggly days inside and the sound of rain on the roof while I fall asleep.
Over the last couple of weeks I've been bookmarking some inspiration for my winter wardrobe and I recently noticed that there's been quite a consistent colour palette flowing through all my ideas so it seems like this winter will be full of black, navy blue, maroon/ burgundy, grey marle and tan. This is pretty good for me cause I can so easily get stuck only wearing black and white, so I'm happy to say I'll be branching out!

Although, there's nothing wrong with classic black and white either! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it all. Those colors seem quite appropriate for the season to come. :)
ReplyDeletemuted colors are my favorite for fall and winter, especially a dark olive green.

Grey & Navy Blue are my staple Winter colours however I'm all game for chucking some mauve into the mix :)

ReplyDeleteThe velvet dress is lovely. I'm with you on wanting hot winter soup and also can't wait to snuggle up again with a scarf and cashmere.
