It is officially Autumn here in New Zealand now and I couldn't be happier. I love this season and everything that comes with it- soups, roasts, stockings and coats and beanies, crispy cold mornings and snuggling up on the couch with a good book or a movie. Where I live it never snows and the worst it gets is a bit of a frost that clears by 10am so I get to really enjoy the cold weather without worrying about things like shoveling the driveway before I can leave in the mornings.
I also bought myself a slow cooker for the first time! But I don't have any recipes for it yet. I made a beef casserole that turned out quite well the other night though, but I'm looking for a good chicken recipe for it, has anyone got one?
Wow, autumn eh? We are just on the cusp of spring here in NYC. I'm sure you can make amazing chicken and beef stock with your cooker. We don't have one but we use our Dutch oven to slow cook things. I can't think of a chicken dish but if you like lamb I'm sure lamb slow cooked in red wine would be delightful.
