Where I live we have a yearly festival called Balloons over Waikato. Every day for a week the sky is filled with hot air balloons that are launched at dawn and it's such a pretty sight to see. Then on the final day there's a big carnival where thousands upon thousands of people go to enjoy a picnic, carnival food and a night time display of the balloons, followed by fireworks and live music.
This year I snapped a few early morning pics as the balloons launched over the lake and then enjoyed a crisp Autumn night under the stars with good friends and good food. Hope you enjoy them :) If you're interested I've uploaded these and a few others to my flickr.

The first shot is pretty impressive. I love seeing hot air balloons in morning.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I wanted to go this on the weekend so badly! We couldn't go to the morning one or the night glow because I worked in the early morning.. and he worked all night! I did see some pretty balloons in the sky on my drive to uni on thursday, though :)
