Our New Zealand winter has begun, and though I love summer and sunshine, there's something about winter that is just so nice. I thought these images were perfectly fitting for a little list of the things I'm looking forward to this winter, so here we go:
♥ Yummy bread dunked in home made soup ♥ Listening to the rain while I fall asleep ♥ Getting into your pajamas as soon as you get home from work ♥ Snuggling under blankets while you watch movies ♥ Our kittens fluffing themselves up to twice their size to keep warm ♥ Drinking hot drinks from my favourite mug ♥ Layering up with coats and scarves ♥ Thick socks ♥ Roast dinners ♥ Porridge for breakfast ♥ Cranking the heater in the car to full blast ♥ Long, hot showers ♥ Warming your fingers around a fire ♥ Wearing the husbands oversized jumpers ♥ Electric blankets ♥ Warm clothes straight from the drier ♥
Safe to say, I love winter! I hope wherever you are in the world you're enjoying the season you're in x

ReplyDeleteAh, I'm not enjoying summer at all here. It's so humid and my hair dislike it. >:(
I love being able to sleep under the covers - it makes me feel so safe and secure!
ReplyDeleteUnlike summer when you're on the top dying of heat exhaustion and the mosquitos can get you haha.
We are just beginning Summer here in the US and I love everything about winter you just described, it makes me long for it that much more. However the beauty of summer is once the sunset begins the heat breaks into a gentle breeze and the sky turns all shades of beautiful; I at that moment love everything summer. Mostly I enjoy the beach days, snow cones that remind me of childhood, and the light lingering in to late evening, its all so wonderful. Lovely Post, inspired :)
ReplyDeletei am in a very cold, wet & windy ape Town {South Africa} heading head first into winter :) x
