Last Friday we went to the studio for New Zealand brands Ruby and Madame Hawke to have a bit of a peek at upcoming collections, try on a few clothes, meet the designers and take a look behind the scenes.

I rummaged through the racks a bit and couldn't help but fall in love with some of the bright orange items! The double breasted coat would be the perfect addition to any winter wardrobe (keep in mind I'm thinking about these kinds of things at the moment as we're in the colder months here in New Zealand) and would be great to brighten up all the dull colours we end up wearing at this time of year.

It was also great to see illustrations from NZ artist Kelly Thompson up in the studio as well!
It was so lovely to meet the girls, see some inspiration boards for up coming collections and find out a little more about what goes on behind the scenes. Make sure you check out Ruby and Madame Hawke on facebook as well so you can keep up to date on all their happenings!

great post:)
