We spent some of our weekend in Auckland and enjoyed sushi and miso dates, afternoon wanderings around the museum, visiting friends (blog post to come soon), using the LC-A+ and spending time with our family. And thankfully, the weather was amazing so it was great to enjoy some time outdoors soaking in the sunshine.
As a side note, I'm sending a little shout out and some love to couple bloggers Louder than Silence. They write a great blog which I always enjoy visiting and have received a little flack lately which is so uncalled for. My opinion: if you don't like a blog - don't read it. It's pretty simple :) There's no need to bring each other down!

Mmm, yes, I love miso too! My Japanese friend taught me to make miso soup, it's one of my favorite dishes!
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog a while ago but I think it's the first time I comment :)
Thanks for the link, it seems like I'll have to check out a lot of interesting blogs these days!
xx Viola

oh awsome pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteWow... I don't follow Louder than Silence but I had a read of that article. Pretty fierce! Everyone lives differently and its a shame that the Guardian stooped so low for an article.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good time up in Auckland :) It was a beautiful weekend!
Mmmm Miso! My fella and I have only just introduced it into our diet, I love the soups he has made me so far though! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy about Louder Than Silence! I had no idea about that! I love reading blogs! I find people and their differences amazing and inspiring! :)
Your brave to go for the hair-chop I have been putting that off all summer! Don't think I can I love my long locks a bit too much still! :) Have a great day pretty lady! Zoë x
wow. I just read the Guardian article and the follow up VICE one. extremely disappointed in both publications. Since when is internet bullying a reason to write an article. It actually made me incredibly angry. In four years blogging I have never seen such disgusting hatred against bloggers. It was immature and a sad display of the character of those writers. The vice one was the worse, dictating what they consider is "cool". seriously. wow I am just so mad right now. I hope I never have to read such a disgusting bit of writing again.
ReplyDeleteI love louder than silence! I cant imagine anyone saying bad things about them. Its really uncalled for

What a cute post! I just love seeing pictures of you and your husband. <3
ReplyDeleteOoh I love miso too, so delicious and light!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I spent so much of last week ridiculously angry and sick over that article - it was brutally horrible and completely unjustified.
I wrote a little response to it on my blog, but more than anything it was upsetting to see the pettiness shown by a lot of readers too in their commenting on the Guardian entry.
Love and happiness are such great things to work for. I really love the gorgeous space you've made here. Thank you for sharing with us xx
Yum miso! Great pictures! xo
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and I am loving reading it!
ReplyDeleteso lovely pics! definately following !! <3
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe that article was on the Guardian, I thought they had more respect for blogging and bloggers than that, I was very disappointed too... I wasn't really surprised by the negativity though, which is probably what is upsetting me the most, there will always be negative people but like you said, they don't have to read it if they don't like it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Miso dates sound perfect to me and I still adore your hair, it really suits you...
sushi and miso always make me happy :) you look positively adorable too deary! still in love with your hair, very sixties :)
ReplyDeleteoh and have to agree with you, louder than silence has been a firm favourite of mine for quite some time now and i cannot agree with you more! Their blog is an absolute joy to read and the guardian article was complete nonsense! xxx
