(sweet little holiday snaps from Kate)
Most of the blogs that I read and interact with are based in the Northern Hemisphere and it's really interesting to read all about everyones excitement for Autumn and colder weather and warmer layers while I'm experiencing the beginning of Spring and excitement for sunshine and summer. I love the anticipation of a new season and the excitement of returning to your favourite items of clothing from the year before and the traditions and routines you have at certain times of the year. With the longer evenings I've been enjoying the chance to get outdoors after work and I'm also counting down... 3 more weeks and the husband and I are jumping the ditch over to Australia for some time in the sun with friends. Cannot wait!

One of my favorite things about the Fall season is all the bunting flags and the striped tents =)

These pics are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I live in the northern hemisphere but follow a lot of blogs from Australia/New Zealand and it's fun to see all this differences.
Still, I live in a portuguese island and my concept of fall/winter is radically different from most europeans so I really like to see other people's traditions and what not :D
I always get so weirded out when I'm talking about autumn and someone else is talking about summer at the same time!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this so much.

Yay a fellow southern hemisphere gal! It was hard in winter (while we were freezing and indoors) to see all the gorgeous summer outfits and fun adventures of the northern hemisphere bloggers, but now spring is finally here for us :) x
ReplyDeleteThose photos are lovely! I'm on the other side of the world...I miss spring time :(
ReplyDeleteIt's true I've written a few autumn inspired post myself. And I always find it so interesting when I stumble upon a spring inspired post.
ReplyDeleteHope you're have a bright, warm and cheery spring season so far!
the love boat? tea and cake? i want to go to there...
ReplyDeleteThe pics are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe are heading toward summer - whoo hoo. It has been painful watching those Northern folk frolic in the sun, while us Southerners have frozen our bums off.
hehe it is so funny watching everyones excitement... i think change of weather in general is always exciting but always gets old!

I love reading all the fall stories too, hehe. It's been coldish weather here still so I'm pretending it's fall for a little while. But I'm looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Australia! If you're in Sydney there is an amazing amount of fun things happening at the moment. Good timing!

such cute inspirational photos--love!
ReplyDeleteI also like the changing of the seasons, but this year we have had a cold, rainy summer, so I am just not ready for autumn to arrive. What a shame.
ReplyDeleteI hope that winter will not arrive with all its frosty snow already in November as it did last year.
But autumn with a lot of sunshine is lovely and can be the most beautiful time of year. I love all the red, orange and yellow colours that come in autumn! So photogenic! :-)
I hope you have a lovely spring!
I also find it very disconcerting to be reading about all the joys of Autumn while I'm preparing my self for the Summer sunshine. I also find it a little annoying 'cause I get most of my clothes inspiration from blogs so I'm always getting inspired for the wrong season if you know what I mean (:
ReplyDeletewhere in australia are you going to be this time?
ReplyDeleteThats so funny I blog from Ireland but mostly I follow southern hemisphere blogs, variety is the spice of life i suppose :) autumn rocks here btw! x
