LomoAmigo

Today is the day I finally get to share with you some news I've been keeping quiet for months! I am happy to say that a wee while ago I got selected to be a Lomo Amigo. Lomography sent me the LC-A+ (more on that soon) and a bunch of film and I got set to documenting life and adventures with my husband and friends. Some past Amigos include Elijah Wood and my good friend Liss from Daydream Lily, so I am feeling very lucky to have been chosen as well! 

So! The above pictures are just some of the ones I snapped with my beloved LC-A+ (which is now my favourite camera by far) but you can see more and read a little interview with me over HERE at the main article. Most of the pictures in the article are actually slideshows so make sure you scroll through them to see them all, including a few that were cross-processed.

And in the next few days when I have some time I'm going to do a more thorough post on the wonder of the LC-A+ and what features I love, why I find it to be such a great camera and how you can get the best out of it :)

To chop, or not to chop?

A little confession: I've been thinking about chopping my hair to my shoulders. What do you think?? I am trying to get up the courage to do something bold and different but at the same time it has taken YEARS to get it to this length, so I don't want to regret anything I do. I can't decide, I'm so torn, any thoughts are welcome!

New beginnings

I start my new job today! I'm really excited but I do apologise if things are a little slow around here while I adjust to a new routine. I have scheduled a few posts though and I'm looking forward to sharing some news with you guys later in the week about a little something I've been working on with Lomography. Happy weekend everyone! I hope wherever you are in the world you have a good one :) Yesterday we went and saw Bridesmaids (amazing) and had dinner with friends. Today is my last shift ever at Rox and then tonight we're off to have dinner with some other friends. So it's a good weekend for us!

This post is a freaky reminder to me of how much Ilana and I look alike. That Vintage

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Sophie from That Vintage at the Auckland Art & Craft Fair. Sophie and her sis popped across from Australia to attend the event and their stall was incredible! If you haven't already heard of That Vintage you should definitely check out their official website and etsy to see all their beautiful handmade jewellery. 

Online shop Style Milk has just started exclusively stocking the Tea Party range from That Vintage, which is a bit of a departure from their normal wood cut pieces, but seriously so cute! There are necklaces and rings with tea cups and saucers available.

Instant Life

Last weekend it was my birthday and I celebrated with my closest friends by going out for lunch together. Good food, good company and good memories- some of which I captured on my Instax 210. You might notice a couple of bloggers in there, including Sone, Ilana and Dane. Such a fun way to celebrate turning 24!

Also I just had to include this shot of Ziggy... I know it's a little rudey but seriously- how CUTE is he!! When he was little he used to sleep like this on our laps (take a look here) but then he got too big to fit properly but the other night he was sleepy enough for a us to recreate his old sleeping position. Ahh I love him <3

Hello Yellow

Over the course of my whole life, I don't think I have ever owned a yellow item in my wardrobe, no exaggeration. It has just never been a colour I've been drawn to before, but over the last few months so many lovely yellow items have been catching my eye and now I'm on a mission to find a few pieces to add to my wardrobe. These are just a few of my picks I've bookmarked but there are so many more as well. This year I've been trying to branch out from just wearing black all the time and I've surprised myself by how much I love bright shades like this! Do you have any colours you're drawn to at the moment?

Hot chocolates at the lake

Yesterday we took a second out to head down to the lake for hot chocolates and some catch up time. We forgot to take any bread to share with the ducks though sadly! We have so many favourite places in this city that are nice to visit and lucky for us the lake is just around the corner from our house. 

As I've said before we both have Fridays off to enjoy together but yesterday was our second to last shared Friday! Next week is my last week at Rox and then I'll be starting a new position at a Real Estate agency, so my days off will be Sat/Sun. (Which would you believe I have never had before! I'm excited). I'm sad to not be working with Ilana anymore but also looking forward to this new season in my life. So mine and Jeremy's new date day will be Saturday, which couldn't be more perfect :) Here's to new beginnings!

Our New Zealand winter has begun, and though I love summer and sunshine, there's something about winter that is just so nice. I thought these images were perfectly fitting for a little list of the things I'm looking forward to this winter, so here we go:
