I Like Wolves

I know I've said it already this week, but I LOVE daylight savings! It's so nice to have time in the evening after work to run around in the sun. I received this adorable dress from Market HQ this week and jumped at the chance to snap a few pictures of it in the late afternoon sun yesterday. You'll have to excuse my pasty white skin, it hasn't seen much sunshine recently, but hopefully that's about to change! Anyway how cute is the pattern and the cut out back detailing? I think this dress will be getting a lot of wear this summer.

Oh sunshine

Daylight savings has officially begun in New Zealand and despite feeling like my alarm went off in the middle of the night yesterday (6.30 am might still feel like 5.30 am for a few days) I couldn't be happier. More sunshine hours in the evening means more time to get things done after work - walks around the lake, picnic dinners with the husband and more chances to start playing with our Canon 400d that the beautiful Liss from Daydream Lily sent us. It's a happy time friends! Hopefully I'll have new pictures to share with you soon :)

Moments

Just a few snippets from my weekend. I have to say I think I had the perfect Sunday- a few friends and I met up for brunch at our favourite cafe, then we went for a wander around and did some [window] shopping, then stopped for coffee and macarons. It's so nice when you have a day where nothing in particular is planned and you can just take your time doing whatever you feel like! Hope you all had a lovely weekend too :)

Down at the Lake

My favourite time of day to take pictures is while the sun is setting. The lighting becomes so soft and warm and pretty, not to mention it's just nice to watch the sun go down. Last night we snapped a few pictures on our way out to dinner (Japanese, yum!) and it was nice to have a bit of a wander around the lake in the warm Spring air. Only a couple more weeks and I'll be able to fully transition into a summer wardrobe, that makes me happy!

My friends at Kings of Carnaby have released their Spring/ Summer 2012 lookbook and I have to say I'm a big fan! I can see myself wearing every single one of these items but in particular the blush pink button up dress and the yellow dress with the beaded peterpan collar. So pretty! Confession: I have a bit of a girl crush on Elizabeth Olsen (younger sis to Mary Kate and Ashley) at the moment. Every picture or interview I see of her shows someone who comes across so happy, down to earth and level headed. Not to mention that she's got great style and from what little snippets I've seen - pretty impressive acting chops too. The Perfect T-Shirt

There's nothing like a comfy, slouchy tee that you can slip on with jeans or a skirt for a casual day. To be perfectly honest I've been raiding my husbands wardrobe for his t-shirts for the last few years so this is actually the first tee of my own that I've had in a long time! I think my husband is quite pleased that I won't be wearing his clothes as much now haha.
