Red Velvet & Tea

I was scrolling through pictures on my computer tonight, tidying up folders and deleting duplicates etc when I realised just how many food shots I've taken over the last few months. I know this isn't anything new or different, especially for a blogger, but I thought I may as well share a few of my faves before they get lost amongst my archives.

While I'm on the topic of food (and yes I know this is a bit of a contradiction to the sweet treats featured above) but after a small break I'm back on the My Fitness Pal regime. Since moving to Auckland I've been off it for a bit (too many exciting new food places to try!) but the holiday is over and it's time to return to my healthy habits. My time off got me thinking - I can't be the only one that needs a bit of a boost with it all and perhaps some kind of challenge or plan for August could be a good idea. I'm open to suggestions of how to run it so if you're interested just let me know :)

  1. Everything looks so good! My tummy is rumbling now :) xx

  2. I need a big heath boost, so I'm keen to try anything. Finally downloaded MFP... tomorrow it's game on! Help!

  3. love your blog!!
    you took such amazing pics!!
they are so all so adorable and inspiring~~ :D

    love it!!

hope you have chance to stop by my photo blog! any feedback is greatly appreciated~ thanks!

  5. Love the first and last shots! Superb! I've been getting back to my healthy habits as well! It's going to be so challenging to keep it up once college hits in August so I'm definitely up for a challenge to keep me on track!

  6. I took a break from My Fitness Pal these past couple of weeks also, but I'm starting fresh today with healthy habits!!A challenge or plan would be awesome!

  7. those cakes look amazing! i am going to use them for inspiration when i ice mine later--well i can try :)

  8. I found My Fitness Plan annoying because it wasn't accurate enough. It kept telling me I'm starving myself :/ I know I need to snack more, but I don't feel like MFP numbers were quite right.

I use MyNetDiary instead, which is easier to make more accurate as you can edit the amounts. So if anyone else is like me, and finding MFP doesn't quite work for them, there is that.

Some updates from another "average person" on being healthy and fit would be good - I follow a great nutritionist/ trainer but sometimes it would be nice to see the progress of someone who isn't as toned and perfect as she is - makes it more attainable.
