This weekend we: spent hours wandering around town in the sun, fell in love with plush toys, ate good food, bought fresh produce, explored different corners of the city, took lots of photos, cooled down with gelato and enjoyed each others company. It was close to perfect.

Hi we are visiting Auckland in a week or so for Coldplay. What are a few things you think we must do. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely looks like the perfect weekend. I love your photos of the clocktower, its such a beautiful piece of architecture.
ReplyDeleteSamara - I can't remember the name of the Japanese place but I would actually recommend Renkon instead, I think it's better. I can't remember the name of the Gelato place either but it's kinda east of Ellen Melville in town. The plush toys were from a store on Wellesley street. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - it depends what your tastes are but if you search the 'Auckland' tag on my blog you'll find some of my favourite things up here. Off the top of my head some suggestions would be:
Food: Little & Friday cafe, Delish Cupcakes, Renkon (Japanese), Moustache Milk & Cookies Bar
Shopping: Parnell & Ponsonby for cute little boutiques, The Department Store (Takapuna).
Other: Auckland Zoo, Viaduct, One Tree Hill, Mt Eden
Hope that helps!
sounds wonderful.
