iPhone Lenses

I recently treated myself to some iPhone lenses from the Photojojo store. I thought it would be nice to have some glass lenses for my phone since I don't always want to lug my proper camera around to everything (it's heavy and doesn't really fit in my bag). I bought a four pack which comes with a wide angle lens, a fisheye, a telephoto lens and a macro. You can read more about them here.
Here some examples of each lens capturing the same subject. I like them all but I have to say I think the telephoto lens will really come in handy. Digital zoom on iPhones isn't the greatest, so this really helps with being able to capture distant subjects without them becoming too grainy. I don't think I'd use these lenses on every phone picture, but it's nice to have the option if I want it.

Have you ever tried a glass lens on your phone before? Next on my list is this Holga iPhone lens!

*not a sponsored post, this was my own purchase

  1. Oh I can imagine the macro being really useful, that's the biggest restriction on camera phones I think x

    1. Hey lovely. I think at the end of the day, a DSLR is always going to produce better images as you have so much more control so although these lenses are cool, they could never compare with the quality you'd get from proper DSLR images. It's just a nice alternative for me from lugging my heavy camera around all the time. I know what you mean about the price of DSLR lenses though, yikes!!

  11. Wow, what neat tools! I have been on the lookout for a little something to spice up my happy snaps - unfortunately a new camera is not in the budget at the moment, sigh... These should keep me entertained until that happens. Thankyou so much for sharing this, just what I have been searching for :-) I too have a new blog and would be honoured if you took a moment to check it out. Happy weekend!
