Six months ago Jeremy and I made the decision to move to Auckland and six weeks ago we handed in our notice at our jobs. After months of planning, of doing up our CV's, saving and packing up our home, this is finally happening.
Jeremy is enrolled in a Bachelor of Business, I got a dream job and tomorrow we make the move. This week has been full of goodbyes and see-you-soons, empty cupboards and our lives wrapped in newspaper and taped away in boxes.
I might be absent for the next week or so as we make the move and go house hunting, so I just wanted to drop in one more time to say I'm excited! One chapter of my life is closing and a new one is about to begin.
I'm looking forward to exploring a new city, finding a home to settle down in, getting stuck into my job and sharing all the ups and downs of this journey with you guys. Thanks for all your amazing comments, tweets and emails, and I'll be back here as soon as I have an internet connection again!

one. Cosset cafe (along with other new-to-us cafes). We went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and not only was the coffee great, menu wonderful and decor interesting, but they have a resident cat 'Gypsy' who is the cutest thing ever and super friendly.
two. The Yellow Brick Road (and other different stores full of vintage, handmade and high end products). I can't wait to explore the variety of different stores and I might just document a few different store features along the way so keep an eye out for that too!
three. Mount Eden, one of our favourite spots to overlook the city. I picture us going for lots of runs/ walks there and it might become a new regular spot for outfit photos as well.
four. La Cigale French Markets. A French-style farmers market operating on Saturday mornings and selling fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly baked goods, coffee and other non-edible treats.
five. Silo Park. Night markets and an outdoor cinema every Friday night in Auckland's industrial heritage space. We watched Amelie there with some friends a few months ago and can't wait to make this our regular Friday night event.
What are your favourite things to do in Auckland? I'd love to hear your suggestions of things I must see and do :)

(Mink Pink white shirt & Mink Pink skater skirt c/o Market HQ, American Apparel 3D mesh top, Rubi shoes)
Well it's hard to believe but this is my final outfit post in Hamilton! I've really enjoyed all the pretty little nooks and crannies around this city that we've used for photo shoots over the last few years but I'm also excited to explore new locations in Auckland. It was fun to return to the tracks one last time this weekend to snap a few quick pictures in between showers of rain and it's definitely an odd feeling that this time next week we'll be in a new city!
I have 4 days left of work then a lot of cleaning and packing to get through before we take off. I'm also happy to say I got a job in Auckland and will have one week of holiday before starting my new position! It's a Communications/ Social Media role which I'm super excited about. It also means we can now begin to house hunt since we know which suburb we'll be based in. Things are all coming together and we're just itching to get this new adventure underway!

As I mentioned the other day I thought I would share my favourite instagram users. I'm going to skip all the obvious choices because most likely you're already following them anyway and we've all seen them featured on multiple lists of this kind by now. This is a chance to give credit to some different accounts and hopefully help you discover a few new favourites. So in no particular order here we go:
Hope you have enjoyed my selection! I'd love to hear your favourites so let me know in the comments what accounts I you'd recommend for me to follow :) And if we aren't connect my username is herecomesthesunblog
Have a great weekend! It's my last one in Hamilton for awhile so I'll be making the most of it xx

We have definitely had some good times here! It was fun to look back through all my old photo albums and relive different memories from the last few years. We have one week left in Hamilton and even though there will be things that will be hard about moving on, mostly I'm just really excited for this new chapter to begin. Here's to change!

Hi guys, Amanda's husband here. It has been a long time since I have guest posted, but here I am bringing a more male perspective to Here Comes The Sun. Yesterday I went to the Zeal markets in Hamilton to take some photos of my good friend Dane from Tornadoes and Tigers stall. He is flexing his creative muscles and designing his own bow ties (I already have two) and selling prints. I hear he has been sewing so much he has already broken a sewing machine!
If you'd like to buy some of his items for yourself make sure you check out his online store The Lost Boys Club (cool name huh?). Thanks for having me here!

Happy weekend everyone! I hope it's nice and relaxing for you, whatever your plans are. This is my second to last weekend in Hamilton which is a surreal feeling so I'll be making the most of my time left here with friends and favourite parts of the city. It's crazy to think life is soon to change so much!
My husband will be dropping in with a guest post of some pictures he took at a craft fair featuring handmade goods from our friend Dane of Tornadoes and Tigers, so keep an eye out for that too.
Happy weekend x

Reading: Game of Thrones - I'm trying to get through it before I watch the TV show and I just got The Perks of Being a Wallflower on my Kindle so I can read it before the movie comes out
Watching: The O.C season two with Jeremy and Sophia Grace and Rosie clips on youtube - can't help myself, I love them!
Working On: Improving my photoshop skills, Pugly Pixel youtube tutorials are a big help
Looking forward to: The big move to Auckland and a change of pace in the bigger city, new opportunities and challenges, getting out of my comfort zone and living closer to family
Eating: Lots of birthday cake (this year it was red velvet, so good) and trying to make up for it in other ways by eating healthier things like Blue Diamond flavoured almonds, yoghurt & fruit
Missing: Some of my closest friends who all live in different cities now (Emma, Ilana, Sone this means you!)
What are you up to in June so far?

Well it's hard to believe but when I hit 'publish' on this it will become my 1000th entry on this blog. Which is crazy. Not only can I not comprehend that I've had 1000 different things to share on here (I cringe at the thought of my archives sometimes) but it's also amazing to think that something that began as a fun hobby could grow to be such a big part of my life, and that anyone other than my real-life friends would actually be interested in reading it.
It's been amazing few years with incredible opportunities along the way- attending Fashion Week, getting flown to Sydney to film a TV commercial, seeing myself on billboards, taking part in fun photoshoots, meeting inspiring and talented people and seeing myself in magazines. What a journey!
Mostly thank you to you guys for visiting my site, engaging with me on here and my other social networks, and sticking with me as I figure out just what I want this blog to be. I read every comment, email and tweet and they all mean so much to me, so thank you and much love ♥

So far today has been a good day. Breakfast in bed from the hubby, a new iPad and new Nike running shoes, a few vouchers and treats and lots and lots of sugar! The celebrations this year are pretty low key but I am meeting up with a few close friends later on tonight for dessert and drinks. I'm glad that I get to have one last birthday in this city before we make the move. And I'm SO excited to take my new shoes for their first run as soon as I can. Happy birthday to me :) I'm off to eat some cake! (calories don't count on your birthday) xx

There's nothing I love more than when we have winter days like this - icy cold, but full of sunshine. This weekend brought out my favourite kind of chilly weather and the husband and I rugged up warm for a day out and about in the city. It's so nice when you can enjoy the colder weather and dressing up cozily without having to worry about the rain as well.
Also what do you think of my new winter coat? It's so nice and warm and fortunately grey goes with everything in my wardrobe. I got it from a cheapie store so I'm not expecting it to last for very long but it will definitely get me through the rest of this winter at least! Also special mention to The Horse for sending me my beautiful new shoes (which I'm in LOVE with) and Romwe for the striped top. ♥
