Daily Rituals

At the moment my routine changes every day depending on what I have planned, but I always have my daily rituals that I make sure to fit into my schedule. Here they are:
• Reading blogs first thing in the morning while I'm waking up and checking my emails etc. And it's always nice when Rocky is around for a cuddle at the same time too!
• A fruit platter. I can't help myself! If you follow my instagram you'll know this is a regular staple in my life. Fruit is my favourite go-to snack.
• Reading. This is usually and end-of-day-in-bed activity for me, but if I'm reading something really good I'll find time during the day as well. I'm currently re-reading Harry Potter (again!) as my husband is reading them for the very first time so we got two copies and I'm reading them alongside him.
• Cups and cups of tea! I've always been a tea addict but now that I'm working from home I'm drinking more than ever since the kitchen is only ever a few feet away. These are a few of my favourites but my full collection was too big to fit into the photograph!
• Exercise. Whether it's a run, some weights or a bit of pilates or yoga, I always find time to exericse and re-energise. I often find I get a lot of my inspiration for blog posts and projects while I'm in the middle of exercising as well and it helps me sleep better too.

What are your daily rituals?

  2. I am so proud of you that you have such a healthy daily routine! I have almost the same: waking up, blogs, school, workout, reading, eating healthy stuff..so basically yours. Except that I have dancing classes , additional :)

  3. My life has been such a shambles lately that there's not much routine. But I do know that if I make the time to go for walks by the water, to clean my room, and to relax in the sun with a cup of tea or a glass of wine instead of constantly running around town, I am a million times happier!

  11. I enjoyed this post and too have daily rituals. Waking up with a cup of tea with my cats while I read my Bloglovin' feed is one of them. :)

I love that you are re-reading Harry Potter. I've been meaning to re-read the series. My husband was the one that got me into the book in the first place.

Before I was exercising in the morning, and I just recently switched to the night but I think I prefer the mornings.

Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed your lovely pictures and reading about the rituals of others is always fun!

  15. You have such an inspiring routine! I love the fact that you wake up slow with blog readings and cat cuddling. I love fruits so much too, but I dont know if it is because I am vegeterian, but I quickly feel that I need something more, but I would dream of being able to breakfast with only cute and colorful fruits!

It is funny because I taught I was the only hardore fan re-reading Harry Potter! I am not alone!

  18. I need to get exercise back in my morning wake up plan. It really does motivate me to wake up in the morning (strange but true) I stopped because carrying the wee one around killed my entire shoulder and I could barely move it let alone do a sun salutation. It feels better now but I'm afraid I'll mess it up again by working out.
