Today in New Zealand it's National Gain Day. You can read more about it over on the Special K website (here) but the general idea is that it's a time to think about what you want to gain in 2013. So I thought I'd take the opportunity to share with you five things that I'm hoping to gain this year! If you write a post on this as well make sure you leave your link in the comments so I can come check it out :)
♥ 2. Vision. 2013 is going to be a big year for me. As I've previously mentioned, I'm stepping out on my own to start a business this year. I'll fill you in on the details about it closer to its launch, but one of the biggest things for me is having a focus and a vision. I have so many ideas about what I want to do and projects I want to take on, but I know I can't do it all at once. This year will be all about planning, strategy and baby steps.
♥ 3. Determination. In light of all the big things I have planned for this year, determination is going to be truly necessary. I know this road will have unexpected turns and bumps and I need to be more determined than ever to work hard and strive for my goals.
♥ 4. More time outdoors. I always say that I love being outside but really, I'm only ever outside for a run, a walk or a barbecue. So many of the things that I do inside could be done outside in the fresh air! So from now on when I'm sitting down with my laptop or a book I'm going to make more conscious effort to enjoy it under a tree, in a hammock or on a picnic blanket.
♥ 5. A better routine. I'm working from home at the moment so routine is so important. I need to find a good routine to balance work life, down time and exercise so that I'm being productive.

I love, love, love! Best of Luck!
ReplyDeletefor me too: all of the above! (except that i don't work from home, but still, i do still need better routine for work life balance).
ReplyDeleteI am loving ♥2 vision! I started my own business on new years day of last year. It was the hardest but best year so far! Would not change a thing.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good list to me Amanda! I'm hoping to gain a greater appreciation for the present...rather than always thinking about the past or future :)
ReplyDeleteI love this goal!
DeleteBest of luck on you business Amanda! I'm doing the same thing this year, and it takes a lot of guts and confidence in yourself to just bite the bullet and do it, but I reckon once we're there it will all be worth it and we'll wonder what we were so afraid of.
