My Favourite iPhone Apps

Today I thought I would share with you my favourite iPhone apps. I'm skipping all the obvious ones (instagram + various social media platforms etc) and just talking about the top five I use every day.
♥ Why: To track my runs so I can see how far/ fast I'm going
♥ What I love about it: Now you can add your friends and compete to get to the top of the leaderboard, you get trophies for different achievements (so encouraging!) and if you flip your phone sideways it gives you quite a detailed breakdown of your stats.
♥ Handy tip: On your home screen scroll through the icons until the red shield comes up - it's a challenge for you to beat one of your records and it pushes you to achieve it. So cool!

♥ Why: A quick and easy picture editing tool
♥ What I love about it: I love how intuitive it is to use and how handy it is for adjusting the brightness and contrast for pictures that need a few tweaks. There's also a huge range of filters, great cropping tools and frequent updates with improvements.
♥ Handy tip: After editing your picture you can upload it directly to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter + more without having to first save it to your camera roll.

♥ Why: For a bit of a stroll down memory lane
♥ What I love about it: It might sound a little narcissistic but Timehop is a daily update on what you were doing on this day previous years. I love it because it's fun to be reminded of this journey I'm on!
♥ Handy tip: Connect it to as many social media platforms as possible so you get a wide range of updates

♥ Why: To keep myself accountable with healthy eating and exercise habits
♥ What I love about it: Although I've been a little slack at using this app lately, it's still one of my all time favourites. I love being able to track my calorie intake as well as how many I'm burning and to share my diary with my friends so we can all encourage each other
♥ Handy tip: Use the recipe tab to create the meals you eat most regularly so that you don't have to add in each ingredient every time you eat it.

♥ Why: To keep up to date with my favourite blogs while I'm on the go
♥ What I love about it: It's so much faster and easier than having to manually go to each and every blog that I read on a daily basis. I love having my favourites all in one place.
♥ Handy tip: Use the 'popular posts' tab to find new blogs to read. You can also select the category to find ones most relevant to your interests.

  6. Yay! I see my little bloggy blog featured here :)

I've never used Nike+, but I've got to try it. That, plus After Glow looks pretty cool. Another good running one is MapMyRun, which I use.

  11. Is it disgraceful that I've had an iPhone for months but use barely any apps? After reading this post I've realised that I'm totally not using it to it's full potential... It's mainly because I don't want to waste more time than I already do but I think I'm going to have to download Timehop, bet it would be cringeworthy but sounds entertaining!

I really love myfitnesspal too :) P.S I love how your posts like this are just so quick and easy to read, with the bullet points and pictures of the apps, you are so cleaver :)

I also like VSCO CAM for editing and I just got Evernote Hello for recording peoples contact details but haven't fully dived into it yet.
