It's been awhile since Jeremy and I have taken pictures at Cornwall Park. The last time we photographed there we only had a kit lens and also didn't know how to shoot manually and the difference in results is quite crazy. Check out our last post in comparison! We're using a 50mm lens now and we love being able to play around with the depth of field and create that beautiful bokeh effect in the background. We still have so much more to learn about DSLR photography but it feels like we're heading in the right direction :)
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Jeremy is back to uni today (he's doing some extra papers over summer) and I'm diving head first into a huge project - setting up my own business! But more on that another day :) x

Thanks, I love it too! I've been wearing it a LOT!
DeleteManual photography makes such a huge difference! I actually cringe at some of the photos I took before I learned to control the camera myself. Such an exciting thing to learn - looking forward to seeing more results!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling, I cringe too! But it also feels really good to be able to see how far I've come! And hopefully I get to understand it all even more! :)
DeleteGorgeous photos and outfit. You've inspired me to learn how to use my camera a bit better!
ReplyDeleteI love the hair. I can't believe that that is a Supre shirt!

Wow, wow. Those photos don't look like you're just learning. Soo pretty :)
ReplyDeleteCute look. Love the shirt. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! And I love the bokeh effect here! DSLR photography is something I'm trying to learn as well - I'd appreciate any pointers!
ReplyDeleteAmanda may take awhile getting back to you because she is really busy, so I'll say what we did.
DeleteWhat we did was instead of just reading on the internet how to take good photos, and then trying to shoot manual later. We started playing with the camera while watching youtube videos. It was amazing the first time we could take a photo inside without it looking yellow.... not good with white balance yet, I'm still using pre set options. We are a long way off professional but we are actively learning.
Hi Nancy! I see my husband beat me to answering you on this one :) And I have to say I agree with what he wrote. Once I started picking up the camera and playing with different settings I started to understand what was causing good or bad lighting, what I liked the appearance of etc. Hope that helps!
DeleteLove this outfit and the place!
ReplyDeleteI loooove your top!
ReplyDeletebeautiful :)
ReplyDeletethe pictures are really cute! I can see (in comparison to that other post) that you and Jeremy have improved greatly in photography : ) well done!
ReplyDeleteI own a 50mm too and the results are pretty obvious! I love it! :)
