Remembering Ziggy

Today is a bit of a sad day for Jeremy and I. Today marks one year since the day our cat Ziggy was run over. He was an amazing part of our family and even a year on we both find losing him still so saddening. So I just wanted to share a few pictures of him and a link back to some ones from when he was alive (here). It's amazing how much you can love your pets and how much value they add to your life! Fortunately we still have Rocky and he's healthy, happy and enjoying exploring his new territory around our new home. Miss you Ziggy, your memory lives on x

  5. i'm a cats lover too and I've been thru this sad situation. Ziggy makes me remember my family's beloved cat, Piko. when we lost him, even my dad shed in tears during his mini-funeral. So, lets appreciate wt we have now & always be a cats lover!^^v

  6. Oh you poor thing. What a cutie he was! Its always sad losing your beloved pets. I would be so upset if I lost my doggie. I'm happy to hear that your new one is so happy though. I'm sure Ziggy is having a good time up in heaven. He might even be playing with my Muzza, making heaps of friends.
Just give your kitty a big cuddle. Makes everything better.
    xx

  7. Oh I am sorry : ( The top photo under the christmas tree looks so much like our kitten leonard that we lost (also run over) a few years ago. We got him the day we got home from our honeymoon. I cried so much and also found it very hard! So I understand your sadness. I remembered that when he died I posted lots of pics of him on my blog (way back in 2007!) and i had to check on it to compare, but I think they look quite similar! http://www.crystalandsam.blogspot.co.nz/2007/05/tribute-to-leonard.html

I am so sorry to hear that you've been through this as well. It never gets easier really! But their memories live on. Little Leonard was beautiful!

  8. Oh Amanda...:(
I understand completely. Megsy has nearly been gone a year too and I still cry when I think about her sometimes. We definitely find happiness and love with new pets, but they have such different and distinctive personalities that we can't but miss the ones we've lost!
