Hey guys, here is my third installment of my smoothie series. If you missed the first two you can check out my tropical smoothie and berry smoothie recipes as well. This was my first attempt at a green smoothie, let me know what you think! While not as immediately tasty as a berry smoothie, it's nice once you get used to the change and the health benefits are great. You can read more on that here.
2 cups water
1/2 head romaine
2 cups spinach
1/2 lemon (juiced)
Step one // Place the romaine and spinach in the blender with your two cups of water and blend to a smooth consistency.
Step two// Dice your pear and apple and add to the blender, blending to a smooth consistency again.
Step three// Add your freshly squeezed lemon juice and chopped banana to the mix and give it a final blend, until the consistency is smooth and there are no chunky banana bits.
