Contributor | Arrow Nail Art Effect

Hi everyone. It's Katie back from Katie Jessica Creations  I am having so much fun as a contributor here. This week I'm showing you how to get a quick arrow effect without having the fuss of tape. I certainly don't have the patience to get very straight edges and I still like the effect it gives.

1. Choose your base colour

2. With your second colour do two big strokes of polish to get a small triangle shape in the middle of your nail. I have gone for a curvier effect but if you want to try to do it straighter than go ahead!

3. Repeat this process using alternate colours. If you want you can even add a third colour into the mix or go wild and do a different colour for every layer. It's a very similar method to the retro cloud nail art I did in a previous post.

4.  I would leave each layer to dry a little inbetween because your nails will dry quicker overall once all the layers are in place.

5. Finish off with a clear coat to seal in your design.

Have fun! I would love to see your designs and remember to leave comments on this post if there is anything you want to see in the future or questions you have!

  1. Such a cool idea! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love that this doesn't involve tape - that makes it so much more simple! I'll definitely have to try this. :)
