It's crazy how fast time has gone but today marks my fifth year of blogging! When I started out it was just a fun hobby (if you've ever read my archives you'll know I wasn't taking it too seriously) and I never could have imagined it would grow to become such a big part of my life! I thought I'd take a second to look back on some of my favourite blogging moments so far:
Early in 2012 I took part in a photoshoot with Kopie Photography and ended up loving one of the shots so much it became the inspiration for my current header illustration. Click here to see the full post.
Also early in 2012 Jeremy and I modelled for photographers A Couple of Night Owls in an engagement themed shoot they styled for us. We spent two days posing for them and the results are my all time favourite photos of us together. (Yes, more than our wedding pictures.) Click here to see more.
One of my favourite things about blogging has been working with Jeremy and him being the most patient and talented photographer. As our equipment and skills have improved over the years we've had more and more fun with it, and this post at the beach is one of my all time faves. See the full post here.
This year Jeremy and I also got to relive our wedding day when we modelled for our photographer friend Michelle Joanne. We had a blast reliving the fun and are so happy to be a part of Michelles portfolio! See more from the shoot here.
This shoot was my first time doing something a little different and I loved dressing up and running around with feathers in my hair. See the full post here.
In 2010 I had my first big blogging opportunity when I was flown to Sydney with Streets Cornetto and other Australian & New Zealand bloggers. We spent 2 days on the beach eating icecreams and dancing for the camera then 3 months over summer on television and billboards. Click here to see more pictures and the TV Commercial.
One of the absolute highlights of my blogging life has been the friendship I've made with Liss from Daydream Lily. Without our blogs we would have never met but because of them we've enjoyed multiple holidays together. This picture is from when I visited Liss on the Gold Coast in 2011 (see the post here) and Liss has also been over to New Zealand to visit me as well (post here). And I'm happy to say she's coming back in just a few weeks and I'm heading to her shores in November as well!
Another one of the best things about blogging has also been how it's helped me document my holidays with Jeremy. It's so fun to look back on these posts and relive the memories. Some of my favourites include: Queenstown, Nelson and Gisborne.
Lastly, it's just been fun to document this journey over the last few years. I've taken so many more photos than I would have without this blog and I'm so grateful for it. I love looking back on all the memories and can't help but be happy with all the amazing experiences I've had and people I've met. I really love writing this blog and I'm so grateful to every single one of you that takes the time to read and/or leave comments and engage with me on twitter, email, instagram etc etc. It's been such a fun journey so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds!!
