NZ Nutrition Week


This week in New Zealand week has been Nutrition Week. Over the last couple of years nutrition has become something I've been more and more interested in so I was happy to take part in a challenge for the week and write a bit about my experiences.

So for the past 5 days I was challenged to eat eggs for breakfast everyday (no complaints here!) and to record how it made me feel.. I'm a huge egg lover so this was a fun challenge for me and I mixed my days up between poached and scrambled eggs with some avocado, tomato and sprinklings of cracked pepper added as well. The best thing I noticed about eating eggs for breakfast each day was that it kept me full until much later in the day which meant I didn't start unnecessarily start snacking or craving sweet treats.

What's your favourite breakfast?

  1. I really like omelettes but I cook them rarely, so usually I have some bread and nutella, or a yogurt. Your breakfast challenge meals look so good by the way.

  3. I also LOVE eggs for breakfast! I never poach eggs before but I would give a try, And I never put avocado on my eggs, does it really taste good?

  4. Eggs are definitely one of my favorite breakfasts (and certainly my favorite practical weekday pick). Poached on toast is my go-to, but I adore omelets or poached over potatoes and country gravy as well.
