Paisley shirt c/o Aupie | Quilted Skirt | Boohoo Shoes

Gosh it's a week full of outfit posts isn't it? I'm not normally so clothing-centric with all my posts but somehow this is the way the wheels have turned this week! Anyway, I guess this is a pretty typical uniform for me - button up shirt and a pleather skirt. This kind of combo has been a regular feature for me this year and I don't see it ending anytime soon.

In other news my week is flying by! It's one week tomorrow until my beloved Liss arrives from Australia so I kinda don't mind time passing so fast, as long as it slows down once she's here! If you want, you can also check out Liss's film photos from the last time she was here.

Hope you're having a good week so far! xx

Aztec Tee Dress c/o Market HQ | Mink Pink Leggings | Boohoo Shoes | Ring c/o Papa East | Element Eden Hat

This weekend made me really excited for Spring. I know it's still a good month or so away but I feel like I had a little taste of it. Being able to leave the house with bare arms and not freeze was such a nice change and I cannot wait for that to return to the daily norm. Only August to get through and our little corner of the world will start heating up again! I can imagine once the warmer weather is here more often I'll be recreating this outfit a lot. I love the aztec pattern and how easy this would be to wear in the middle of summer without the tights and with barefeet or sandals instead. Can you tell I'm counting down to the end of winter?!

Home is Wherever I'm With You

Checked Jeans c/o Market HQ | Fishermen Beanie | Waffle Knit c/o Market HQ | Vans

Oh how I love lazy Sundays! It's so nice to have a bit down time at home - a cuppa tea on the deck, catching up on my favourite blogs and some sunshine on my face. I'm such a homebody and these kinds of moments are my favourite! And the fact that these pants kinda look like pajamas only makes it feel even cozier.

Hope you're all having a nice weekend :) We caught up with friends at The Food Truck Garage on Friday night and spent Saturday night indulging in wine and cheese. It's been a good one and I feel nice and rested for the week ahead!

P.S I've just made an album on Facebook full of behind the scenes pics. Sometimes it takes awhile to get a serious shot.. Haha :)

Celebrating 5 Years of Blogging!

It's crazy how fast time has gone but today marks my fifth year of blogging! When I started out it was just a fun hobby (if you've ever read my archives you'll know I wasn't taking it too seriously) and I never could have imagined it would grow to become such a big part of my life! I thought I'd take a second to look back on some of my favourite blogging moments so far:

Early in 2012 I took part in a photoshoot with Kopie Photography and ended up loving one of the shots so much it became the inspiration for my current header illustration. Click here to see the full post.

Also early in 2012 Jeremy and I modelled for photographers A Couple of Night Owls in an engagement themed shoot they styled for us. We spent two days posing for them and the results are my all time favourite photos of us together. (Yes, more than our wedding pictures.) Click here to see more.

One of my favourite things about blogging has been working with Jeremy and him being the most patient and talented photographer. As our equipment and skills have improved over the years we've had more and more fun with it, and this post at the beach is one of my all time faves. See the full post here.

This year Jeremy and I also got to relive our wedding day when we modelled for our photographer friend Michelle Joanne. We had a blast reliving the fun and are so happy to be a part of Michelles portfolio! See more from the shoot here.

This shoot was my first time doing something a little different and I loved dressing up and running around with feathers in my hair. See the full post here.

This shoot was back in 2011 and was a fun day dressing up in clothes from NZ designers Ruby and wearing crazy colourful combos. See the full post here.

In 2010 I had my first big blogging opportunity when I was flown to Sydney with Streets Cornetto and other Australian & New Zealand bloggers. We spent 2 days on the beach eating icecreams and dancing for the camera then 3 months over summer on television and billboards. Click here to see more pictures and the TV Commercial.

This year I flew to Sydney again, this time with Boohoo. Click through for part I and part II.

One of the absolute highlights of my blogging life has been the friendship I've made with Liss from Daydream Lily. Without our blogs we would have never met but because of them we've enjoyed multiple holidays together. This picture is from when I visited Liss on the Gold Coast in 2011 (see the post here) and Liss has also been over to New Zealand to visit me as well (post here). And I'm happy to say she's coming back in just a few weeks and I'm heading to her shores in November as well!

Another one of the best things about blogging has also been how it's helped me document my holidays with Jeremy. It's so fun to look back on these posts and relive the memories. Some of my favourites include: Queenstown, Nelson and Gisborne

Capturing Memories:

Lastly, it's just been fun to document this journey over the last few years. I've taken so many more photos than I would have without this blog and I'm so grateful for it. I love looking back on all the memories and can't help but be happy with all the amazing experiences I've had and people I've met. I really love writing this blog and I'm so grateful to every single one of you that takes the time to read and/or leave comments and engage with me on twitter, email, instagram etc etc. It's been such a fun journey so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds!!

Contributor | Travel Printables

Hello beautiful friends it's Bec from Clouds of Colour. I'm excited to be contributing on Here Comes the Sun again! I hope you are all having a fab day. In a few weeks I am heading to Japan for a short holiday to see a friend of mine (and to escape the cold New Zealand winter!) so thought it would be fun to design some 'Travel Printables'. I always find myself needing more luggage tags and writing hundreds of lists before I go anywhere.

I hand drew the designs on these, played with them on the computer and produced for you all - a few luggage tags, a 'To Do' list and postcard - perfect for your little getaway! All you need to do is click on the 'download' button below, download the PDF file, carefully cut out and use.

Thank you so much for checking out my post. I hope you enjoy these pretty printables. See you all again in a few weeks!

Little Bits of Life

Just a few snap shots of life lately! Here's a bit of what I've been up to/loving:

♥ Watching The Office (US) and Revenge with Jeremy
♥ Changing my editing style on instagram. I use the Afterlight app and I used to just increase brightness/contrast (like this) but lately I've been loving the Russ filter (like this).
♥ Trying new flavours of tea - my latest addiction is green tea with peach
♥ Sending snapchats of my cat to errrrrybody
♥ Finding new blogs to read - my best recommendation of the moment is Black.Bird
♥ Having friends you can get overly excited over stupid things with like cute fonts, spotting Gilmore Girls actors on other programmes, Harry Potter references in real life, getting overly emotionally involved in the lives of fictional characters and listening to your favourite song on repeat.
